Dear Friends,
As we get near to the close of 2015, I am once again grateful. Grateful for the privilege to serve God, and grateful for the wonderful people He has placed in my life. Some of these people I know personally. Many others I have not met, but I know them all in my spirit. These are the people who make the world a better place every day. These are the people who are sincere and hard workers. These are the people who are faithful. These are the people who love God with all their heart and soul. These are my friends. You are all this, and more to me, and I am grateful for you! May His richest blessings be yours this Christmas as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, our Savior. I look forward to seeing you again in the New Year with more horse ministry, and more of the Good News!
Riding With Faith,
Susan Klaudt
UPDATE ON SAMSON
Okay, I attempted to take a selfie of me and Sam
today, but ended up with a picture of a headless horse!
I blame it on the cold, windy day, and not my vision!
Yeah, right! Anyhow, I'm still all-smiles because
Samson is making great progress as he continues
to recover. Thanks for your prayers!
I've got a big smile on my face today. Why? God is faithful, and He is answering our prayers here at Christmas time. In the past several days, Sam has not labored at all with his breathing. We don't knock on wood around here when something wonderful takes place - we praise God, and we're loud about it, too! I'm sure our neighbors out here in the country must think we're nuts. More good news - Sam's badly injured leg is looking much better with new and healthy pink skin visibly growing in each day. As bad and as deep as this cut was from the beginning, Sam never took a lame step, and still hasn't. Again, praise God! Today, I left the bandaging off so the wound could get some fresh air. I've said this before, but it's quite a miracle to watch how God's creation (our bodies and our animal's bodies) can renew and regenerate itself. Such is the miraculous power of God at work. He made all of us, and He knows how to heal all of us!
Check out Sam's Christmas gift this year- some shiny portable corral panels (bright red for Christmas!). They allow me the freedom to move him around on fresh grass for some "picking" time until he is well, and able to go back out on pasture again. Meanwhile, every time I walk out to the big pasture, my retired ministry horse, Montana, gets that funny look on his face as if to say, "Uh-oh, you're not thinking about riding me again, are you?" Actually, the thought has crossed my mind a time or two, but instead, I've given Montana a new job that he is very pleased with. As you probably know, horses are herd animals, and Samson really misses his pasture buddies. So, every time we go to the vet for a check-up on Sam's health progress, his best buddy, Montana, goes along for moral support, and to catch Sam up on all the "pasture" news! Well, that's about it for this week's update. Once again, my special thanks for all your prayers and best wishes. Our God is listening! Have a delightful and blessed Christmas, and we'll see you again in the New Year!
