 AQHA Foolin' The Ladies (aka Montana) became my first equine ministry partner back in 2002. Montana is now 18 years old. Due to several of his health issues over the past few years, I made the difficult but right decision to retire him in 2013. My quarter horse, Samson, now works as my full-time partner in ministry. You can catch Samson at work in many of our YouTube videos. 

 

   

A LITTLE HISTORY -

HOW IT ALL STARTED

 

As most of you probably know, I've been an ordained minister and an evangelist for the past 35 years. I started out in ministry in 1979, along side my husband, Kim. In the early years, we worked at the local church level in youth ministry, and as Associate Pastors. In 1991, together we founded 

Kim and Susan Klaudt World Ministries, and hit the road evangelizing all across America. We also spent many years doing mission work amongst Native people on the plains reservations, and also doing christian music concerts all across the United States. The years I spent on the road traveling and ministering were some of the most wonderful years of my life. And yet, there were times when something inside of me felt strangely incomplete, as if I had yet to do the exact thing for which God had created me to do.

 

I reasoned with myself, "How can this be?" After all, I was doing the work of the Lord. Could it be that there was something else God wanted me to do? I began to earnestly pray and seek God for the answers. Morning, noon, and night, I prayed for years, and then I prayed some more. And then one day, a strong vision of using horses to teach biblical faith began to take form in my heart, and in my mind. I knew I was getting ready to begin an important and brand new season of ministry - the ministry for which I would soon realize that I had been born and purposed for all along.   

   

A NEW SEASON OF MINISTRY, AND A PLAN

When God calls you to a specific ministry, he equips you with the necessary experience ahead of time to do the job well. I've been ministering the gospel for more than three decades, and owned and ridden horses since the early 70's. For me, the ministry of the Word and good horsemanship was a perfect fit.     

  

Many times God speaks to us, or gives us a vision for the future, and suddenly we're off and running before we've really developed a plan, or have the experience necessary to be successful. That's sorta like a restaurant with good food that opens up in a poor location with bad hours. Yep, the foods good, but the planning is poor, and it results in failure to launch! Or perhaps a restaurant opens it's doors before they've really learned to cook up what they're offering on the menu! Either way, it's safe to say that it's bad timing due to poor planning. So, what does timing and planning have to do with anything? Everything - absolutely everything!

Often times, when God gives us a vision, there's a season of waiting before the great reveal! That's not wasted time, as some would believe who find themselves squirming in the "holding pen" while they wait, wait, and wait some more. Waiting for the manifestation is oftentimes the most important time of the vision. Why? Because it's the time when you get prepared, learn the most about what it is you're supposed to do, and then develop a plan. In other words, it's your "groundwork", and the time when God is preparing you for the ride!

For every vision, there's a season of preparation. If you don't take time for the preparation, the vision won't succeed, no matter how well-intended, or God-inspired.

Time in the holding pen isn't the time to grit your teeth and get worried and anxious. It's the time to get prepared. It's the time to seek God, prepare for the ride, and study to show yourself approved. For me, I spent my waiting time in the holding pen by preparing myself for what God had called me to do. Instead of a poorly planned and pre-mature launch of ministry, I stayed in the Word and studied, and then I studied some more. I also spent hours and hours on the back of my horse, learning as much as I could about how to relate those horse experiences in words that would help people to better understand Godly faith, and how to live the life of a Victor. 

Most importantly, during the waiting period, I listened for God's direction. His first directive to me gave birth to the underpinnings of an equine ministry that would become unique in it's scope to reach not only horse-lovers with the gospel, but those who had never ridden or owned a horse, too. His second directive was to give me the name of my equine ministry. Isn't that just like God? He always has a perfect plan for you and me. Moral of the story - don't get in a hurry, and don't get ahead of God. Stick with the one who brought you to the dance in the first place, and never forget the real plan - God's plan!

Every ministry of integrity should have a well-defined vision and purpose, and experienced people who are not only called, but able to demonstrate that vision and purpose with well-defined actions, as well as words. 

 

Natural Horse Faith-Man-Ship is a new and unique equine-based ministry of integrity that uses horses, both in riding and groundwork, to "visually demonstrate" and teach faith-based principles from God's Word. The ministry of NHF is based on 3 important principles of biblical faith:

 

1. Purpose - You were born for purpose - God's purpose. 

 

2. Power - You have been given delegated power through the name of Jesus Christ. 

 

3. Partnership - You are created for partnership with God.   

 

 

Natural Horse Faith-Man-Ship uses the Language of Equus to teach the Language of Faith! 

 

 

What Is The Language Of Equus?

Over the past few decades, the horse world has undergone a revolution in knowledge often referred to as "Natural Horsemanship". This explosion in knowledge has resulted in a better understanding of how horses think and learn. It has also given us a distinct body language to help teach our horses more effectively, and help remove the communication gap that exists in nature between prey (horse), and predator (man). This body language, and the native language of the horse, is known as the language of equus. This is the language that enables us to have partnership with horses   

What Is The Language Of Faith? 

As we become more knowledgeable about biblical truths found in God's Word, we begin to recognize that He has a clear, distinct, and definitive language that He uses. He uses this language to communicate His will to us, and to teach us. It is called the language of faith, and it is God's native tongue. In other words, it is the language that He speaks. The more fluent we become in speaking the language of faith, the more effective and better our communication with God becomes. Learning to speak the language of faith is a key ingredient in learning to walk in true partnership with God.

Partnership with horses can be one of the most thrilling adventures we experience in life, but nothing compares to the wonderful fulfillment we can have when we "partner" up with God for the faith ride of our life!

Are you ready for the faith ride of your life? Wow, what a strange question! And yet, it cuts right to the chase. So, I'll ask it again. Are you ready for the faith ride of your life? In other words, are you ready to learn more about God and the amazing life of faith that He has called you to?

Because we're a ministry that's fluent in two amazing languages -  the language of equus, and the language of faith. And the good news is, we're not rookies! We have decades of experience ministering the Word of God, as well as riding and owning horses. And yes, we're a ministry where the wonderful smell of horses lingers in the air, and our podium is a roundpen, but you don't have to be a "horse-person" to be a part. That's because this is a ministry where the soothing balm of the Word of God permeates deep like that of a well-oiled saddle that always makes everybody feel right at home, with or without a horse. In other words, we believe we're a ministry tailor-made just for you - but only if you're ready for the faith ride of your life!
