THE HORSE LOVE OF MY LIFE
The best sermons are lived,
not preached.
For those of us who are horse lovers, we often spend our entire life waiting for that one special horse. A horse that is like none you've ever known before. A horse that has no quit in him. A horse that desires partnership with you. When he finally comes into your life, you recognize him. He's different than those that came before. He gives you his heart willingly. He seeks to be with you. And then you know. This is the one. The horse God destined to be yours.
For me, Samson is that horse. And I believe sharing my life with him was God's plan. Sounds like some pretty mushy stuff. Afterall, I'm just talking about a horse, right? Wrong! I'm talking about much more than that. Every single time I look at Samson, I'm reminded of power. Not horse power, but the power of words to change a person's life and destiny. You see, from the first moment I saw the horse love of my life, I declared he was mine, despite the owner telling me he wasn't and never would be! Years passed before Samson actually became mine, and I came to realize the power of my faith-filled words. In this newsletter, I want to formerly introduce you to Samson, my equine ministry partner, and the horse love of my life. Yes, you've probably seen him before in our newsletters and videos, but perhaps you don't know much about him, or are curious about his breeding. Since I've retired my other ministry horse, Montana, (see RETIRING MONTANA in the Archives) you'll be seeing even more of Samson in the future. Although we're no longer the three amigos, we're still a team. Tomorrow, another horse may join us in Natural Horse Faith-Man-Ship. But today, I'm blessed with an amazing partner. And together, we're pressing on towards the goal!

Samson is a 1998 western pleasure bred American Quarter Horse gelding with multiple points in western pleasure, trail, showmanship, horsemanship, western riding, and halter. He was the 2002 Tennessee Quarter Horse Association All-around Champion, and TQHA year end high point earner.

Samson's generational pedigree includes some of the world's best performance and pleasure bred horses. His sire is Two Time Congress Reserve Champion, Simply Hot, out of Multiple World Champion and All Time Leading Sire, Hotrodder's Jet Set, and Reserve World Champion Amateur Western Pleasure Mare, Delea Siemon.

Are you believing God to bring about something special in your life? Do you have dreams you've yet to realize? Maybe, as I once did, you're dreaming about that special horse you want, or perhaps you desire to be married, have a new job, jump-start a business, or even start a ministry. On an even deeper level, perhaps you're facing a life-threatening situation, and you need a healing. Or perhaps you're simply discouraged with your life, and don't know where to go from here. You are not alone.
In just the short time I've been sending out these newsletters, I've received emails from people from all walks of life who have expressed to me various feelings of discouragement, hopelessness, and even thoughts of suicide.
Jesus did not promise that life would be easy. Anyone who tells you differently is ignorant of scripture, or lying! Life is a journey, and it's often a hard one with unexpected twists along the way. But Jesus did promise that He would never leave us, nor forsake us. And He also gave us something that no one else could. Jesus gave us the power to not only live above the circumstances of our life, but to be victorious in every area of our life through the power of His Word.
Words are important. And God's Word trumps your words. Nevertheless, your words are important, too. Why? Because you were created in God's image, and He has given you the power of life and death - and He put that power right there in your mouth.
Never forget, your own words are the framework upon which you build your life. I believe that if we're wise, we will recognize the eternal importance of being an active participant and partner with God in walking out our destiny. And that means we choose our words carefully.
But isn't everything left to chance or fate anyway, no matter what we say? The answer is a resounding NO! As God's children, we are people of destiny, and not chance. Then, how do we become an active participant and partner with God in determining our destiny? We start by believing we were created by Him on purpose - with purpose - and for a purpose. And then we start saying what He says.
GOD SAYS...
You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
You are the head and not the tail.
You are blessed when you go in, and blessed when you go out.
You are a victor and not a victim.
You are more than a conqueror.
You are an overcomer in this life!
Our God is an awesome God who flung the stars into space, and created the worlds with a word - His Word. The Bible says that God honors His Word above His name. Think about that. And then ask yourself this question. Are you saying what God says?
Got big dreams? God's even bigger than your dreams, and He's able to make all grace abound towards you! I challenge you to start speaking nothing but Faith-filled Words from this day forward, and watch how your life begins to change and grow. Remember - you've been given the power.
