Did You Know?
The Bible often uses animals to illustrate a truth about our natural, earthly life.
Did You Know?
The horse is mentioned more than 375 times in scripture, and is used more than any other animal to teach principles of biblical faith.
Did You Know?
The language of the horse is called Equus. The language of God is called Faith. Susan Klaudt uses horses and the language of Equus to teach the language of Faith.

What is Susan Klaudt
Natural Horse Faith-Man-Ship?
NHF is the realization of a remarkable vision and dream the Lord placed in my heart many years ago to use horses to visually teach biblical principles of faith.
Now, after more than three decades of pulpit ministry, and countless miles traveling and doing cowboy churches, my horses and I have taken a new trail, and have entered the world of cyber space!
Natural Horse Faith-Man-Ship is based on 3 simple and easy to understand Bible based principles. Everything that I teach in NHF falls under the heading of one of these principles:
Purpose, Power, and Partnership
1. PURPOSE - You were born for Purpose - God's Purpose.
2. POWER - You have been given Power - a delegated power that has been given to you through the name of Jesus Christ.
3. PARTNERSHIP - You are created for Partnership - partnership with God who created you for His pleasure, and for His purpose.
"But ask the animals
and they will teach you..."
(Job 12: 7)
As a minister of the gospel, and a horse owner for many years, I know that there is no better animal to visually demonstrate and help teach Bible-based truths than the natural horse.
The horse is a large prey animal who is instinctive and reactive by nature, and hard-wired for survival. However, with proper training, and knowledge, he is capable of learning that the source of his power is not in his size, his speed, or his prey instincts. The true source of the horse's power lies in the gentle and guiding hand of his master in partnership.
It is a privilege for me to share my life with God's marvelous creation, the horse. Together, we are partners in life, and in ministry. Through the humble efforts of Natural Horse Faith-Man-Ship, it is my sincere hope that you will be blessed, your faith strengthened, and you will discover God's wonderful purpose and plan for your life.

Plan Your Work -
Then Work Your Plan!
OK - they say confession is good for the soul! So, I confessed in a previous newsletter a tendency to be a workaholic. Living out here on our 48 acre farm/ranch for the past 14 years, and with no hired help, has certainly given me an outlet for my workaholic-ism. Suffice to say, I'm always planning some horse-project that needs to be done around the farm, and consequently, it always calls for a lot of work, much to my husband's chagrin. What can I say? I love my horses and I'm passionate about them. As a consequence, I'm always thinking about ways to improve their lives, and our partnership together. So, - what's the latest project this summer? Re-surfacing the footing and re-building the horse's roundpen. As for planning my work, - that's the easy part. However, getting my husband, Kim, on board is a different deal. That calls for ingenuity, and what I call "Workin' the Plan"!
Me exercising the gift of supervision! I know, it's a dirty job, but somebodies gotta do it! By the way, the arena, which was another work project a few years ago, is in the background.
My husband, Kim, asleep at the wheel. See what happens if I'm not on my "supervising" game?
Kim moving panels in place and Workin' the Plan!
Speaking of planning the work and working the plan, - a few years ago, I decided we should build a 100' x 200' horse arena on the very highest point of our land overlooking the surrounding hills. It would be a challenge, to say the least, a lot of earth moving, and a lot of hard work. Of course, I was told on more than one occasion that it was simply impossible, - just too big a job. "You want to do what? And you want to put it where?" Kim asked in total amazement.
Undaunted, and faith high, I replied with all the gusto I could muster, "Trust me. We can do this. We're claiming the high ground!" And so we did. With God's help, - we planned the work and then we worked the plan. And within a few months, we had built an awesome arena along with wonderful memories to last a lifetime.
The impossible 100' x 200' arena on high ground over-looking the entire farm. With God, all things are possible! We used manufactured sand for footing, and rodeo strength galvanized panels secured in place with cemented posts instead of board fencing.
A few years after we built the arena, I got to "brain-storming" once again. Of course, Kim says that's where most of the problems begin. Hmmmm, whatever does he mean? Anyway, I got to thinking about how nice it would be to have a small area strictly designated for riding and ground-working the horses while using various desensitizing objects to build their confidence; in other words, - a safe place where I could have toys - yes, horse toys - like big rubber balls, and plastic jumps, and various desensitizing things likes tarps to walk on, cones to circle, and poles to cross and ride through. In other words, my plan called for a horse's playground or training pen, of sorts. Once again, it was time to plan the work, then work the plan.
Samson and Montana play ball in the training pen!
Teaching my horse, Samson, in the small training pen to ride on a loose rein between poles at the pleasure walk, jog, and lope.
The day I went to Kim with the idea of a horse playground, i.e. - training pen, I could hear him quivering in his boots at the mere thought of yet another horse-project, and work, work, work. "No way," he protested. "I'm not doing it and that's that!" To which I quickly replied, "But I've got a plan..." To which he quickly replied, "You've always got a plan!" So, that evening I decided a new plan was in order. Like a good wife, I fixed his favorite spaghetti meal, and I brought it to him on a tray so he wouldn't have to miss a minute of Nascar on TV. In addition, I lovingly suggested, "Want a foot massage, sweety?" Next day, I poured him a glass of sweet iced tea and handed it to him as he climbed aboard his faithful and trusty metal steed - the ol' John Deere tractor. And "Voila!" - the training pen was born! Now that, my friend, is what ya call planning your work, and workin' your plan!
The small oblong training pen is still my favorite place to ride, play with the horses, and try new things. I also like to teach Natural Horse Faith-Man-Ship from this pen. I planned it's location to be near the barn for convenience, and near the water for it's calming affect and serenity. It's also the horse's favorite pen because they know there's less work and more play going on here! This picture was taken of me and Samson riding in the training pen, Memorial Day weekend, 2013.
Got big plans and big dreams? Remember - God loves you, He cares for you, and He's passionate about you. And He's always Workin' His Plan with You in Mind.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
(Jeremiah 29: 11)
