GoogleUSBUS has released a new web-based game designed to teach the fundamentals of internet safety to children. The game, called "Interland," teaches the five core internet principles around being internet smart, alert, strong, kind and brave. "Interland" represents part of a broader program called "Be Internet Awesome," developed in conjunction with online safety bodies ConnectSafely, the Internet Keep Safe Coalition, and the Family Online Safety Institute. The game includes resources for teachers and a video series for parents which is designed to make talking about online safety fun and accessible. For more, click here.

Pearl Market

Thanks to a new state law, vineyards and wineries are now able to sell wine by the bottle at farmer's markets.  They are also able to offer two ounce samples of their wines.  Pearl Market is one of the first markets to obtain the necessary permit to include wineries in its market.  There are currently two wineries at Pearl Market: Blue Barn Winery and Vineyards and Camelot Cellars.  Come out to taste and buy some great Ohio wines!

Ampersand Offers

The Columbus arts scene is finally getting the recognition it deserves, and the students, staff and alumni of the Columbus College of Art & Design are definitely a big part of the hoopla. Earlier this year, CCAD opened a new school store, Ampersand Emporium, to offer enthusiastic art- and CCAD-lovers a place to stock up school swag. Named for the ampersand in CCAD's name, the emporium is located in the Design Square Apartments building at 91 Cleveland Avenue. Click here to learn more.
