Columbus Arts Festival kicks off the summer festival season, and the riverfront is where you want to be. With local, national and international artists exhibiting and selling their work, and six stages to amplify more than 150 performances, Downtown will be a rocking, swinging, strolling and leaping good time. Here's a sneak peek of what you can expect this weekend, June 9-11.

Rappel for a Cause

Catch your breath, step up to the edge and rappel 190 feet down the PNC Plaza Building in the heart of Downtown. Over the Edge takes place June 15 & 16. The event raises awareness and funds to end child sex-trafficking, and you still have time to sign up. For more information, call (614) 848-4870.

Pride Illumination

On Monday, June 12, from 8 - 9 p.m., join Mayor Ginther and City Councilmember Hardin for the annual illumination of City Hall in a rainbow of colors to honor of Columbus Pride Week and to celebrate our open and inclusive community.

Get Your Kicks

Whether you long to return to your schoolyard glory or just want to get up and moving on a summer's night, you still have time to sign up for the Columbus Commons Kickball League. The next Tuesday night session runs July 11 - September 5, and the Wednesday night session runs July 12 - September 6. There are three game times per evening, and teams will play at different times throughout the session. Registration for each league is due by June 17, so get a move on.
