Pearl Market Vendor Applications Open
Set in the hustle and bustle of downtown Columbus, Pearl Market offers a unique opportunity for people to purchase farm-fresh produce, baked goods, specialty foods and drinks, health and beauty products, cards and small gifts, arts and crafts, home d�cor, fashion and entertainment items.

Pearl Market seeks to develop a merchant mix that reflects the rich cultural diversity of Central Ohio while encouraging customers to purchase fresh, locally grown produce. The 2017 Pearl Market will operate every Tuesday and Friday from Friday, June 2 through Friday, October 13, 2017. Ohio Farm Bureau members are eligible for one free month of participation in Pearl Market, or they may enroll for the season at a special reduced cost.

The CML annual Summer Reading Club kicks off on Saturday, June 3 with a brand new online program. Discounted Zoo Admission from COTA and Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and the Central Transit Authority (COTA) are offering COTA's Zoo Bus riders special savings on Zoo admission this summer. Riders will receive Columbus Zoo admission for $3 and Zoombezi Bay admission for $10 per person. Zoo Bus fares are only $2 each way. Weekend and Holiday Zoo Bus service runs Saturday, May 6-Monday, September 4. The Zoo Bus operates Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. Weekday service runs Tuesday, May 30-Friday, September 1.

Zoo Bus riders should ask the bus operator for a transfer/coupon. Discounted admission will be provided when Zoo Bus riders present the transfer/coupon at the Zoo's admission windows. The discount is not valid with other offers. Zoo Bus riders can board at the Statehouse Downtown stop (located on High Street between State Street and Broad Street) or leave their cars at the Griggs Dam Park & Ride (located at Riverside Drive & Nottingham Road). 

COTA Summer Youth Passes Now on Sale
COTA is offering Summer Youth Passes to local youth for just $62. The passes allow for unlimited rides for youth 17 or younger on all COTA lines, excluding Mainstream service, from June 1 through August 31. That is a savings of more than $120. To purchase a pass, either bring a proof of age ID to COTA Pass Sales, 33 N. High St., Monday - Friday between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. starting on May 15. Or mail a written request, with proof of age ID and a check made out to COTA to COTA Pass Sales, 33 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43215. Only one pass will be issued per person. RideSolutions Rebranded as Gohio Commute
RideSolutions was rebranded as Gohio Commute. Gohio Commute will offer free services to individuals and organizations seeking to find a smarter way to commute. Within the new platform, users will be able to more easily find carpool and vanpool partners, explore transit routes, and find bike routes with the highest levels of comfort. RideSolutions members will receive an email requesting that you create a new password for your account. His books include bestseller The Clinton Wars, The Rise of the Counter-Establishment, and The Permanent Campaign. He was the executive producer of the Academy Award- and Emmy award-winning Taxi to the Dark Side. He's currently writing a multi-volume biography about the political life of Abraham Lincoln. Rhythm on the River: The Blind Boys of Alabama and MojoFlo

African-American Cultural Festival

The Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, with support from the Department of Neighborhoods, presents the African-American Cultural Festival. Vintage "Base Ball"

Reminiscent of barnstorming tours of yesteryear, the match begins at 5:30 p.m., as the Capitol Cannons challenge the Ohio Village Muffins in an exhibition game of vintage "base ball" (originally two words.) The event is free and open to the public. Celebrate the Ohio Statehouse and take a step back to the 1800's as the Ohio Village Historical Muffins battle members of the Ohio General Assembly on the west lawn of Capitol Square. Bring your lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the hour-long old-time base ball game. After the base ball game, stay and enjoy a cannon firing demonstration.
