Downtown ColumbUS Video
Some of you have likely seen the Downtown ColumbUS video that hit Facebook. There are two other videos available, one on working downtown here and one on living downtown here. While Capital Crossroads and Discovery SIDs are in a unique position to focus on downtown promotions, downtown is everyone's neighborhood, and the videos may be useful in all kinds of marketing. Please feel free to use the videos in whatever way you may find useful. http://downtowncolumbus.com/home/about-us/

If you haven't already "liked" Downtown Columbus on Facebook, you can do so here: https://www.facebook.com/downtowncolumbus/  Please consider sharing the videos on your own social platforms.

Light CBus Blue
Capital Crossroads and Discovery SIDs encourage downtown commercial office towers to light their buildings blue from May 8 - May 15 as a show of support for the Columbus Division of Police. "Light CBus Blue" is a local grassroots movement started in 2016 by Federal Sky Marshall Bill Swank after the death of Officer Steve Smith. It takes place the week leading up to Police Memorial Day, May 15. We hope downtown properties will fly their flags at half-mast on May 15 to recognize fallen officers. Because we are connected to so many downtown property owners and managers, we volunteered to help in the recruitment efforts.

Participating buildings can share photos of their blue-lit location on the public Facebook event site or on Instagram at cbus_blue. A number of buildings and organizations are participating.

There is still time to sign up to participate, please let us know so that we can recognize you. If exterior lighting is not possible, please consider lighting the interior. Both types of lighting will show up in downtown's beautiful skyline. If you have questions, please contact Keith Hollingsworth, Operations Supervisor for Capital Crossroads and Discovery SIDs, kjhollingsworth@sidservices.com or 614-591-4338. We appreciate your consideration.
