CAPITAL CROSSROADS AND DISCOVERY SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS
Launch Party

On the go, and no time to stop for a healthy treat, let alone lunch? It's about to be your lucky day. Soon, if you're pressed for time, all you'll have to do is lean on Pure Pressed Juicery to offer nutritionally balanced organic juice blends that will keep you going through out your busy day.

Scheduled to open on April 1, Pure Pressed Juicery wants you to taste test some of their concoctions at a launch party this Thursday, March 26. No party would be complete without cocktails. And, you guessed it; the festive drinks will feature cold-pressed juices. Yummo. For more info on the party, check out the Pure Pressed Juicery Facebook page. The festivities will also include some great discounts and giveaways...sounds like a perfect happy hour, right?

If you can't make it to the launch party, beginning April 1 stop by 194 S. High Street from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., Monday through Friday or Saturday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. They make all their juices fresh daily using a custom, cold-press juicer, which preserves all the nutrients of the raw fruits and vegetables. Each juice contains two to five pounds of organic fruits and vegetables, poured into a grab and go bottle. (Psst...For juicing newbies, try the Victoria's C-cret to get your metabolism going or the Johnny Apple Cleanse for a cleansing detox).

And, for people too busy to even take a quick walk to Columbus Commons for a juice, no worries. Pure Pressed Juicery will also provide lunch delivery. They'll even take care of overnight deliveries of their juice cleanses. So, now even the busiest peeps out there can still maintain healthy nutrition. Cheers to great tastes and nutrition.

The Main Library will close and services will be suspended during the building's renovation from 5 p.m. on April 12 through the estimated completion date of August 2016. The decision to close was made to ensure the renovation is completed on time and within budget; to be good stewards of public dollars; and to provide the best experience for customers. CML encourages its customers to utilize the 21 other library locations. Approximately 40 public-facing library staff members will be redeployed to other locations; no staff members will lose their jobs.

The Power of Me

For more than a dozen years, The Women's Fund of Central Ohio has mobilized women to work together to transform the lives of women and girls. Through women's philanthropy, and with research and data-driven decisions, they advocate, collaborate and make grants to create social change and gender equality.

Each year, their Keyholder event brings together those who wish to celebrate women and girls who have made a difference and to be inspired by the potential in all women and girls. This year, singer, songwriter, humanitarian, advocate and activist Melissa Etheridge will headline the event, The Power of Me, on May 6 at the Ohio Theatre. A two-time Grammy and Academy Award winner, Etheridge's songs have moved audiences with their focus on strength, resilience, romance and inspiration. As an advocate for gender equality, Etheridge embodies a spirit and confidence which helps raise awareness for gender issues.

Tickets for the event are now on sale and thanks to corporate support, each is a tax-deductible donation to The Women's Fund. The Women's Fund has given us two tickets for a Right Now Downtown subscriber. Comment on our Facebook page, letting us know what women in Central Ohio inspire you, for a chance to win.
