Fall Back
We can't deny it any longer. Fall is here, and yes, winter is not far behind. It just plain stinks. Just because colder days are upon us, it doesn't mean we should hibernate our way to spring. But just how are we gonna get through some of the cold, dark days?
How about falling back on a little retail therapy? At State & Third, you can find everything from clothing to honey to jewelry to knick-knacks for the house. What's even better, the place is filled with merchandise from local artisans.
The store is tucked inside the shops at 65 E. State Street, and what a treasure it is. Leave a comment on our Facebook page about what you wish you could buy downtown, and we'll give one lucky person a gift certificate to State & Third.

Traffic Alert
Downtown commuters should prepare for major changes coming on November 7 at 8 p.m. The ramp from I-70 west to Fourth Street will close permanently, with the new exit to downtown opening the morning of November 8. Drivers should know that they will need to make the decision to exit much sooner and should follow the green signs for DOWNTOWN which begin at Miller/Kelton. There is a new ramp bridge into downtown to the newly built Mound Street which features two lanes westbound only and a bike lane on the north side.

Honoring Ohioans
With Veterans Day approaching on November 11, the Ohio Statehouse Museum is unveiling a new exhibit honoring Medal of Honor winners from Ohio. "Honoring Ohioans" will open on November 10 at 10 a.m. in the Museum Gallery of the Ohio Statehouse. The opening event is free and open to the public.
The Honoring Ohioans exhibit chronicles and honors all Ohio Medal of Honor recipients, as well as highlighting the men and women of the armed forces. The Medal of Honor is America's highest military honor, awarded to men and women who perform personal acts of valor above and beyond the call of duty. At the heart of the exhibit is an interactive display called the "magic book." The book tells the unique stories of heroism and sacrifice in a movie-like presentation controlled by the visitor. There are also two Medals of Honor on display, as well as a kiosk where visitors can look up Ohio Medal of Honor recipients by various categories.
