Shop Pearl Market

Pearl Market will be closed on Friday, July 4 for the Fourth of July holiday.

Pearl Market is now open Tuesdays and Fridays through October 31, 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Enjoy the outstanding mix of products from farmers and merchants. Thanks to a 10,000.00 grant from the Puffin Foundation West, the Market offers an EBT Matching program that doubles EBT benefits spent in the Pearl Market.

Each day at the Market, all vendors give away reusable shopping totes to their first five Pearl Market customers. Hit the market early for the best chance to nab a bag, some of which are stuffed with  restaurant gift cards and Pearl Market tokens.

Stop by the SWACO Green Booth to learn more about the Community Computer Alliance. While you're there, enter to win a copy of From Asparagus to Zucchini: A Guide to Cooking Farm-Fresh Seasonal Produce.

Bold Booths!
Select downtown surface parking lots will soon become an artistic canvas thanks to community collaboration for a program called Bold Booths! The project combines art and function in a one-of-a-kind installation found first in Columbus. This unique project is an extension of Finding Time: ColumbusPublicArt2012. Now, five invited architects and designers will find an unlikely urban canvas for public art as they design and create innovative parking attendant booths that will not only provide shelter for attendants, but will spark community dialogue about the role design plays in expanding the social capital within the city.

This project is made possible through grant funding from The Ohio State University Office of Outreach and Engagement, and funds from the Finding Time program. Capital Crossroads SID is the community partner for the program. Malcolm Cochran, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Art at OSU, will curate the project.

Peregrine Falcon Information

Though it is now the end of the peregrine falcon fledge season, the possibility of a falcon emergency still exists. If you encounter an injured falcon, contact the Division of Wildlife between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 644.3925, or evenings and weekends contact Brad Kiger at 565.5548 or Donna Daniel at 827.5921.
