Kirsten graduated from National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon with a doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and did her undergraduate studies in Biology graduating from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. Congratulations to Sue Coughtry, BS, LMT Newly Certified in Orthopedic Massage
Sue Coughtry, one of our multi-talented Licensed Massage Therapists on staff is newly certified in Orthopedic Massage through The Center For Pain Management, a national training and research organization created and run by author and teacher James Waslaski, LMT, CFT. Sue Coughtry is currently the only LMT offering this type of massage in our area. The training consisted of a 100 hour certification program with hands on seminars and case studies with a focus on balancing the muscles around the joints and bringing the muscles back to their normal resting pain free positions. The technique improves posture and relieves pain from injuries, poor posture, arthritis, and repetitive use issues. The work is pain-free and very effective. "As a Certified Personal Trainer I am able to teach the client how to effectively prevent problems from returning. Safe and Joyous Travels to Jim and Michelle from the Stram Center community as they head for India!
We wish Jim and Michelle a safe and joyous journey to Rishikesh, India where they will be at the Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama Ashram for the 2013 Sangha Gathering. Jim and Michelle will bring back some of the Himalayan Tradition Teachings to the Stram Center community and include them in their Yoga and Meditation classes. Please note there is no meditation beginning Feb 27th; resumes March 13; No Yoga beginning Feb 26, resumes March 14. |
