Hi everyone!

The 21st annual REALTORS CareŽ Blanket Drive runs Nov 16 to 23rd this year.  Donations needed!  If you have any new or gently used blankets, sleeping bags, warm clothes (coats, hats, scarves, mittens), let me know and I can arrange to have the items picked up.  Or you can take items to any one of these drop-off locations. Thanks for your support!
Real Estate Matters
Here's the REBGV Market Update for October 2015. The supply/demand story continues: the total number of homes for sale has dropped each month since May & continued high buyer demand is pushing prices higher.
Media articles that caught my eye this month:
-  House prices in BC are forecast to rise into 2017
-  The role of mainland Chinese money in our market
-  Creative ways to co-own property, one answer to affordability challenges in our market

With the low inventory levels, you may be considering selling your home.  Here's some tips on selling your home in winter

Market Statistics for October 2015
SnapStats Reports are a great way to keep on top of what's happening in specific cities an neighbourhoods across the Lower Mainland each month:
   -  The Metro Vancouver report covers Vancouver, West Van, North Van & Richmond
   -  Burnaby, New West, Tri-Cities & Ridge Meadows, are in the Greater Vancouver report
   -  Fraser Valley report covers the south side of the river to Abbotsford/Mission

Keep an eye on price trends!
The number of homes for sale hasn't been keeping with demand, continuing to place upward pressure on prices. For the details, check out the statistics from the Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley real estate boards. They report on Home Price Index changes by city & property type (similar to the CPI). You can also find copies of these reports on my website on the tab How's the Market
