Hello Notre Dame Families!
We hope everyone is having a great week. We are trying to keep things running smoothly and as close to normal while Mr. Clark is on the mend. Please pray for Mr. Clark and his family as he will be having surgery on his ankle on Friday. We will let you know more as we know.
The kindergartners as well as the third through eighth graders enjoyed The Wizard of Oz last week at St. Norbert College. It was especially delightful to see all the talented Notre Dame students perform.
Please remember that this Friday, January 22nd the students will have an 11:30 early dismissal.
Reminder that enrollment for the 2016-2017 school year begins on Jan. 31st. This is also the beginning of Catholic Schools Week. Please click Catholic Schools Week for the Itinerary and special events.
Middle School News
- We'd like to give a special thank you to the parents that attended and helped chaperon the ski trip last week. I was told by more than one member of the staff at Ski Brule that our students are all very well-behaved. Great job to all!
- We have completed the winter session of MAP testing and there were several students who completed tests in one or more content areas. The results and data will be looked over by the staff and compared to scores from the fall if possible to help ensure student growth and continued improvement. Parents please look for the results that will be coming home via your student sometime early in February.
- Finally, the students have begun to work on their International Day projects. The format will be slightly different this year, so look for that later in March.
Elementary School News
- All the students in the elementary building are enjoying their indoor recesses playing board games, building Lego structures, and creating beautiful artwork. They can't wait to get back out in the snow!
- This week in 3K and 4K, the children are learning all about dinosaurs. They are having fun exploring fossils, reading dinosaur books, and doing dinosaur themed activities.
- The first and second graders gave a mini concert to the crossing guards in their honor last Friday. The guards received some homemade cards, a special blessing after Mass last Wednesday, and a surprise gift from Home and School Association. We greatly appreciate their dedication, especially during the cold winter months. The students and staff are looking forward to Catholic Schools Week, which is right around the corner!
