Dear Parents,

One of my favorite terms when it comes to administrative parent relations is that everyone is on "the same page."  This terms infers that the school community is of like mind in many ways.  It also gives the message that people can come to a consensus as to what strengths and areas of growth a school has and needs. When you read the results of the Parent Survey issued in mid March, I think that the positives and growth points are very much in line with what I have observed. Please refer to the Power Point on the link.  It is a real testimony to the fact that all of us at Notre Dame truly live our Mission Statement.  A special thank you goes to those who completed the survey.

Congratulations goes out to the students in grades 3 through 8 who made either the "A" or "B" Honor Roll this trimester.  Academic success is a true reflection of excellent work ethic, parent support and effective instruction.  75 percent of our students made either Honor Roll.  Mrs. Nance will provide the Green Bay Press Gazette the names of the students so they can be published.  A listing of all students who made the Honor Roll is also on the website.

The Notre Dame Solo & Ensemble will be this Saturday, March 28 beginning at 9 am.  The students will perform their solo pieces at the middle school.  All of you are invited to hear the students play pieces that they have worked very diligently on.

Mrs. Pagel has done a fine job on working with the middle school students in the PLAY 60 competition.  Our middle school students placed just 18 minutes behind De Pere Middle School in taking first place in the competition.  The ND students did earn enough minutes for one of the Green Bay Packer players to participate in an assembly with our students.

Our Notre Dame Chess Club has experienced a great deal of success recently. Our team finished third out of ten teams at the event our school hosted at Notre Dame Academy recently. Our varsity team is second in the region behind Neenah High School, which is the two time state champion.  Students who will go on to further competition are David Gelhar, Sean Giganti, and Alex Broullire.  Mr. Paul Lubinski has been the Chess Club Moderator this year and has done a fine job in working with the Chess Club members.

Spring Sports season is upon us.  Please check the athletic calendars on the website to insure that athletes and parents know when practices and matches/meets are.

We are looking for a SCRIP Coordinator to oversee and grow its successful program.  HERE IS THE NEW BONUS:  THIS POSITION WILL COUNT FOR THE FULL 24 HOUR VOLUNTEER SERVICE AND WILL ALSO INCLUDE COMPENSATION THAT WILL NET TO A SINGLE GRACE TUITION CREDIT!!!!!

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED AND WOULD LIKE TO LEARN MORE, PLEASE CONTACT TRACY GLOVER AT nddpscrip@gmail.com

Please check out the Bellin Run and Practice 2015 information below.  This is a great program and fun for the kids.

Mrs. Nance and I discussed how we can get more people to read the newsletter. So far this year the highest percentage of our parents who have read is 71 percent. If we get 75 percent of parents and others to read it the students will get a dress down day to be determined at a later date. I realize this is a form of bribery but the results will be worth it.

I would like to leave you with a reflection I found on my home parish website in Manitowoc.  It is something one can pray out loud not only during Lent, but any time the spirit moves you:

I WILL GIVE HONEST AND SINCERE APPRECIATION TO THOSE AROUND ME.

I WILL SMILE.

I WILL BECOME GENUINELY INTERESTED IN OTHER PEOPLE.

I WILL MAKE THE OTHER PERSON FEEL IMPORTANT AND DO IT SINCERELY.

ENJOY YOUR INCREASED HAPPINESS!!

God Bless,

James A.( Jim) Clark, Principal

"May all of us pray the Gospel, and if necessary, use words."

Prayer Support New to the Notre Dame Website

Do you know someone who is sick?  Pregnant?  Having surgery?  Being challenged in life in another way?  If so, would you like a few extra prayers sent their way? Now you can anonymously submit a prayer request, and multiply the power of prayer!!

The Campus Ministry and Spirituality teams of Notre Dame of De Pere invite you to participate in the spiritual formation of our community.  Our school community provides many opportunities for prayer: through school liturgies, the Rosary, our classrooms and prayer groups.  If you have a special intention that you would like us to pray for, please feel free to submit your request and we will join with many others in our community praying for you.  Submitted prayer requests are anonymous unless you choose to include your name. To submit a prayer, go to the "Faith" tab on the ND website, and select "Prayer Requests" or click here
