Dear Parents,
I wish to thank all of you who have completed the Notre Dame School Survey. The numbers filling out the survey have made it a valid one that one can glean information from it. Although I appreciate the many positive things written, I also wish to thank you for the constructive comments that can be used for future growth. We as a staff will address those comments as immediate or future goals. I will provide more information on the surveys after spring break.
Our Forensics team has had a very successful season with their competitions against other schools, both public and private. Ms. Weiss and the Forensics students have devoted a great deal of time in making their competitions of such high quality. Students who participated in Forensics include:
Eighth Grade- Elizabeth Bolin, Ciara Van Dreese, Emily Burgess, Chloe Capomaccio, Becca Young, Breckyn Hockers, Audrey Sladek, and Theo Van Straten.
Seventh Grade- Meg Ferron, Sam Van Straten, Caeden Hockers, Evan Connelly, Elizabeth Hoeppner, Lydia Sladek, and Dennis Guo.
Sixth Grade- Melanie Burnell, Emma Sullivan, Theresa Schack, Heidi Lulloff, Ava Van Straten, and Bennet Smith.
Congratulations goes out to all Forensics participants.
The numbers for enrollment next year are proceeding nicely. We are slightly above the GRACE System for student enrollment, which currently is at about 91 percent. It is still very important for all parents who wish to enroll to do so now. We will soon be putting cap numbers on students in classes next year. We do have a number of students in various grades who will not be with us next year for one reason or another, particularly in the lower elementary grades. This should allow all current families who have not enrolled their children to register while at the same time keep class size at a more reasonable number.
We will be celebrating the second part of International Day on Friday. This time the middle school students will be walking over to the elementary campus to participate in the work the elementary students have done for the day. International Day has been a great opportunity to unite the two buildings as one school. This is not always an easy process, so having students at both campuses doing one thing together is fantastic!
Students will receive their second trimester report cards Friday. As we begin the end of the second trimester, let us work together to insure that all of our students do the best job they can. We will submit Honor Rolls to the Green Bay Press Gazette for publication as well as post them on the school website.
On behalf of the staff, I wish all of you a safe and relaxing week off. After the hard work and effort of all the students, parents, guardians, and staff it is a great time to thank God for the many successes we have had this year as well as to the good things we will have the rest of the school year.
Here is a simple prayer you can recite with your children at any time.
GOD IS GOOD
ALL THE TIME.
ALL THE TIME
GOD IS GOOD.
Have a great rest of the week!
God Bless,
James A.( Jim) Clark, Principal
"May all of us pray the Gospel, and if necessary, use words."
