Dear Notre Dame Parents,

 

It is my understanding that there is a practice of requesting certain homeroom teachers.  As a principal in the past, I leave these requests to the teachers as recommendations. They know students better than I and they communicate constantly about students, their personalities and learning needs.

 

I have spoken in detail to all of the elementary teachers about this.  They have assured me that they have worked on homerooms based upon students' emotional and academic needs.  I will support them in student placement in classrooms.  

 

Please call me if you have any questions. Up to this point I have been impressed with the communication the teachers have had with me over the summer.   You are most privileged in having the teachers you have here at Notre Dame.
