March 20, 2014
Dear Notre Dame Families,
I want to wish everyone a relaxing and safe spring break. Safe travels to all and come back refreshed to finish off the remaining year with improving temperatures.
On Monday I visited the 6th grade Language Arts classroom and did a book talk we discussed Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemmingway. We also discussed the genre, antagonist, protagonist, and setting. It was great being with your 6th graders. Ms. Weiss continues to do a great job.
Camp Invention is returning to the Green Bay Area at Notre Dame of De Pere! We are excited to announce another fun-filled summer with two programs to be hosted at Notre Dame of DePere running the weeks of June 23 - 27, 2014 and July 21 - 25, 2014! Please visit www.campinvention.org for more information and to register. Click

On Saturday, March 8, Notre Dame of De Pere hosted the GRACE Solo and Ensemble Festival. There were over 100 student musicians representing all the GRACE schools! These musicians each played a solo or duet for a judge who then gave them a I (gold) rating, a II (silver) rating or a III (bronze) rating. Notre Dame of De Pere musicians earned 14 gold (I) ratings and 8 (II) silver ratings. They were also great representatives of Notre Dame and very helpful and friendly to our guests. Way to go!! Thank you to Mr. Parmentier, Mrs. Westhoven, Mr. Katona, and Mrs. Pagel who shared their classrooms for this event. Thanks also goes to Mr. Sladek who ran the results room and Mrs. Amy Sehring who hosted the percussion room. Special thanks to Mr. Gil and his student piano moving crew, and for a clean building we were proud to invite guests to.
