Dear Notre Dame Families,  

Finally a full week of school without any snow days or days off for weather. YAY!! because I love school!  

Last week Catholic Schools Week was a great success.  We learned a lot about our faith with events like Eucharistic Adoration and the religion bee.  We had fun with the talent show, crazy hair/hat day, the themed days and just everything that makes us special as a Catholic school.

This week was full of academics. Our children participate in a forensic meet this week at Our Lady of Lourdes.  I was able to visit classrooms and see great teaching and learning taking place. 

Anecdotally, I have spoken to several ND of DP parents who have children at NDA or East De Pere high school, from last years ND of DP class of 2013. For example Mr. Sean Dwyer stopped in this morning to let me know how Megan was doing.  He indicated that she was doing very well and that all the former students from ND of DP taking advanced placement and involved in sporting activities were adjusting very well at high school. Sean also told me "thank you, the children were very well prepared from ND of DP". That says a lot about the caliber of our teaching staff and the quality of education at ND of DP.

For those of you who would like to see a list of students on the honor roll check out Notre Dame Academy's February Communique where you will find this excerpt of this honor roll. You will be proud to see how many students have made the honor roll and high honor roll from ND of DP.

We continue to review or curriculum and programming at ND of DP. Shortly there will be a survey sent home asking for your input on curriculum. Expect more great things from ND of DP.

Mark your calendars, we will have a full day of school on Monday, April 21, 2014 to make up for the snow day we had earlier this week.
