Dear Notre Dame Families,

WOW !! What a winter this should be one for the ages. Thanks everyone for all your efforts this week during Catholic Schools Week and being flexible with your schedules due to the weather.

Many thanks to Barbara Tennity,  Jamie Thomas and Jen Budde and their crew in helping to prepare for CSW Mass and the open house.  Both were a big success.  We were able to thank both St. Mary and St. Francis Parishes and generate over 20 prospects for next year even on that cold winter day.  Please feel free to give my phone number to any person that may be interested in attending Notre Dame of DePere 217-8148.

This morning we finished the 2nd half of the talent show. Your children are extremely talented in many different areas.  They are funny, full of musical and acting talent etc.  I'm so glad I wasn't part of the WPIE news report (Pie in the face) thank you Leo VanStraten, Chris Kiley and Logan Tennity.

The teachers did an awesome job with their act 'What does the fox say' Look for it on You Tube soon. The FOX says Notre Dame ROCKS!!!

This afternoon we are doing the religion bee with Our Lady of Lourdes at the middle school.  Students have been studying for the bee and are excited about showing what they have learned in religion class and during the school day (because religion is taught in all classes).  Our kindness program is designed to promote getting closer to God throughout the school day.

Next week we will begin T-Shirt Tuesday where we will all wear our Spirit Shirts with uniform pants/skirts.

Tonight I will be serving dinner to Brother Benedict and Sister Karine at my house. Tomorrow they will be coming to school to teach all students about Eucharistic Adoration.  They will be beginning in the elementary school at 8:15 in the elementary school gym and at about 9:00 in the middle school gym.  You are welcome to join us to hear their message about Eucharistic Adoration and how it contributes to our faith life.

Tonight there will be a meeting about vouchers at Notre Dame Academy which I will be attending to promote the voucher program.  It will begin at 6:30 for those of you who may be interested in attending.

Just a quick reminder to students that cell phones in the middle school are a privilege.  We have a strict policy about the use of cell phones.  Please refer to the parent handbook under: Search and Seizure

Next week we look forward to a week full of nice weather and concentrated academics.

Let Your Life Shine,

Jeff

Mark your calendars, we will have a full day of school on Monday, April 21, 2014 to make up for the snow day we had earlier this week.

Let your light Shine,

Jeff
