Dear Notre Dame Families,

Welcome back students, teachers, and parents!! For any new families to the Wisconsin area this is not your typical winter (much colder than normal).

Tomorrow is a Packer Dress Down Day!  Go Packers!

The upcoming forecast for next week Monday is looking even colder!!! BRRR!! Notre Dame follows East De Pere when calling off school due to weather conditions (primarily because we ride the same buses).  I spoke with East De Pere superintendent (Ben Villarruel); there is no exact temperature number that is used to call off school (although he did say that when it gets to 15 below zero with wind chill that is a point where they begin to consider closing ).  Mr. Villarruel will text me as soon as a decision is made.  I will send a constant contact out as soon he texts me. He will only text if school is delayed or closed for the day. The other sources to follow are the local weather channels which will be notified soon after the text message and constant contact message is sent out.  If you see East De Pere is closed or delayed so is Notre Dame of De Pere.

A big,  special THANK YOU to parents, Michael & Cindee Warren,  VerHalen, Inc. and its owner, Mike Calawerts, for the generous donation of a new ceiling and its installation in our cafeteria.  They had a crew come in here at 6:30 am on New Year's Eve day, and the old one was removed and the new one installed by 11:00 AM!!!!   The new ceiling has noise-reduction qualities, and it is a wonderful improvement to that space for our staff, visitors, and most importantly, our Notre Dame students.  I noticed a drastic improvement when I was in the lunch room today!  Thank you very much! (whisper) It's much easier to hear in the cafeteria now!

Let your light Shine,

Jeff
