Dear Notre Dame Families:
Thank you to all of you that contributed "acts of kindness" to the Kindness Honors Kaftan!!! I truly believe that your prayers through acts of kindness have been a blessing to me and provided strength to me when I needed it most!!! We are going to continue the "acts of kindness" campaign but rename it Kindness Honors Notre Dame!!! Please take the time to encourage "acts of kindness" both received and given. Children, teachers/staff and parents can participate. There are "acts of kindness" forms in both the elementary school and middle school. "Acts of Kindness" will be celebrated by posting them on the web-site, announcing some in church, and creating bulletin boards with "let your light shine with kindness" at both the MS and ES. Let's continue offering "acts of kindness" as a way to honor Notre Dame and our Lord Jesus Christ.
It was great to see so many of you at the Key Event!!!! A special thank you to Alisa Conway and Kelly Smullen for chairing this event for the third consecutive year. And Yes I am looking for someone to fill some big shoes for next year. Alisa wears a size 12 (just kidding). I may be calling you!
Also thank you to Julie Van Straten for bringing Lieutenant Colonel David Jones from West Point Academy to speak to NDofDP and Our Lady of Lourdes middle schoolers. He gave a great talk about character, reputation, and integrity. Ask your middle school students about the record for squeezing toothpaste out of full tube of toothpaste.(and what it means).
Middle school will be celebrating International Day next week Tuesday, November 26th. Students will be presenting what they have learned about a foreign country with interactive displays. Some of the display may include food. I hope there will be an Italian room! Parents are invited come to the middle school and travel around the world from 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.
One more short reminder. Please check skirt lengths (should be no more than 1" above the knee). Please remember there is a school exchange at the elementary school with clothes for all ages. Check with Jenny Lamers to be pointed in the right direction. Take what you need and if you can no longer use an article of clothing please leave it in the office.
