Dear Notre Dame Families:
Conference time has already begun!!! I look at conferences as an oppotunity for parents and teachers to check in on the progress of their child(ren). I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful group of teachers, children, and families. I hope that your conferences are productive. Please feel free to contact me with any suggestions. We/I are/am always trying to improve and appreciate your feedback. If you missed conferences feel free to directly contact teachers. I would like to encourage you to learn your way around our website. There is a wealth of information about the calendar, upcoming events etc. For example a featured event is one of our most important fundraisers: The Key Event is November 15 please save the date. Before the year is over I hope to have a student editor for general school news and sports.
For those of you who would like to or are trying to find more time to say the Holy Rosary I recently came across a unique android app for mobile phones. The name of the app is the Interactive Rosary. With a set of headphones and a google phone you are able to listen/say the rosary while doing an activity. For example, I have been using the Interactive Rosary while I run. It is a great way to get two very important things done at the same time. Apple phone users please let me know if there is a similar app for Apple phones. I am also looking for some sort of app that can be posted on the web-site.
Thank you for creating the "Kindness Honors Kaftan" theme. The "Acts of Kindness" throughtout the school were truly inspiring. I would like to continue the theme this year with a small twist! This year the campaign will be "Kindness Honors Notre Dame." Acts of kindness are a form of prayer. These acts of kindness help make the world a better place and bring us closer to God!
Come to the ND New Family Welcoming Event on Oct. 30. It's an opportunity to connect and enjoy a bite to eat. For more details, click here
Our annual food drive will run Nov. 1-22. Please bring in canned goods and non-perishable items to school. All of the items will go to local families in need.
The weather is starting to get cooler. Please have your child dress for the weather---hats, mittens, winter jackets. Be thankful for your winter jackets.
Students at the middle school are currently conducting a drive for winter coats and baby items (such as diapers, formula, blankets). There are boxes for both in the middle school and elementary school. Your donations would definitely be an act of kindnes!!!
