Dear Notre Dame Families:
Thank you to all that have registered for the 2013-2014 school year. Notre Dame is on track to achieve its fourth consecutive year of growth. In order to achieve this goal we are offering a $100 scrip card to anyone who has registered from when registration opened (in late January) and April 25th. You still have time to get your name in the hat!!! Please consider registering soon and you might just be the lucky winner!!!!
There is a lot of exciting news a ND of DP. This past year we introduced a new math (more rigorous) program in the middle school and Fundations (a cutting edge phonics program in the elementary school). This coming year you can expect to see more enhancements to our already great school!! We will be introducing Math Expressions in grades K through 5. Math Expressions is an exciting math program that is designed to help all children reach their potential. Next year, we will continue to upgrade technology in our computer labs and in the classrooms. At ND almost every teacher has either a Smart Board, Elmo, or Mimio in their clasroom (advanced display technology- we will be adding three to four units). In the coming year every teacher will have advanced display technology in their classroom.
These new initiatives would not happen without the continued support of you and your fundraising efforts. Thank you to all families who have participated in our fundraising efforts. A big thank you to Alisa Conway and her team!!! Alisa, the fundraising chairperson, has worked tirelessly over the last two years on every major fundraiser at ND.
See you at Grandparents Day next week May 17th! The Mass and reception will be at St. Mary's. Thank you to all the grandparents for their children (you) and their grandchildren!!!!!
On a more personal note I want to make you aware that I will be having surgery on April 24th. I anticipate that I will be gone for relatively short period. I have been in contact with Father Dane regarding my pending surgery and I want to assure you that a plan is in place to manage ND during my absence. Details will follow. As I have told many of you before I knew of this health issue, our great teachers/staff can easily manage ND and that they make my job easy and fun!!! Please keep in mind that Father Dane (former principal at Notre Dame Academey and current President of Grace) will not be far away.

There are a couple of changes coming to the cafeteria for the middle school students starting after Spring Break. As of April 8th, as a privilege to our middle school students, they will have the option of purchasing a second entrée as an a la carte option. This will be charged at $1.00 and be charged directly to the students lunch account.
