Students visit the City of Lights in Paris during International Day! After, students tasted crepes and other French foods.
Dear Notre Dame Families:
Thank you to all that attended International Day!! The elementary school students traveled the world learning about and tasting foods from countries around the world! It was a great success! Thank you to Mrs. Pagel, teachers, students, and parent volunteers for organizing this great event!
At the end of the day last Friday we bid farewell in a very touching and poignant ceremony, to Rodrigo and Rafa, our two Guatemalan exchange students. Rodrigo and Rafa have been part of our Notre Dame family for the past eight weeks. Rodrigo stated, "if home is where the heart is, this is my home." Rafa and Rodrigo made a big impact on our school and they will be missed!
Saying Good Bye to Rodrigo and Rafa The annual Christmas concert "Dude, You Hear what I Hear?" will take place this Thursday. There will be two performances: an afternoon show starting at 1:00 P.M. and evening show will begin a 6:30 P.M. Both performances will take place in the middle school gym. Come early to enjoy the Notre Dame Art Exhibit/Bake Sale. The Bake Sale is being sponsored by student council. All proceeds will be used to purchase technology for ND. If you would like to donate baked goods for this event please drop them off at the Middle School office Upcoming reconciliation dates: December 14th - 7th and 8th grade classes December 17th - 5th and 6th grade classes December 19th - 3rd and 4th grade classes
Father Getchel is collecting donations for four of our seminarians here in the Green Bay area. If you would like to donate something to the baskets please drop it off at one of the school offices. Some ideas include: snacks, soap, toiletries, shaving cream, hot sticks, peanut butter and jelly or Walmart gift cards. Thank you your help! It is great to have all these seminarians in the Green Bay Diocese.
The Home and School milk cap, soup label, and box top contest concluded last week. The counters were busy all weekend counting the totals for each class. Congratulations to everyone! The winners are: Mrs. Cramer's class for soup labels and milk caps (they won a dress down day for the most soup labels and earned milk and cookies for the most milk caps). Mr. Parementiers seventh grade home room collected the most boxtops (they a pizza lunch for the entire class). Thank you to Kathy Nordeen and Home and School for sponsoring this event!!!!! Have a great week everyone!!
JUMP WITH JOY,
Jeff

Lunch & Playground Volunteer
| Hello ND Families, First and foremost, a HUGE thank you for helping to volunteer for cafeteria and playground duty. We have had great feedback from parents saying they really enjoyed seeing their child(ren) in their element and the teachers are very appreciative to have some down time to prepare for their classes.
This is just a friendly reminder that second trimester is fast approaching. If you have not already, you can go onto Lunch & Playground Sign-up Genius and select your day and slot for volunteering for next trimester. You can also sign up for third trimester if that makes better planning, or wait until that trimester gets closer if that is easier. Notre Dame is asking each family to volunteer for one slot per trimester or more if you wish.
Please keep in mind that your time spent volunteering for this program is worth double towards your required family volunteer hours.
***Cancellations 48 hours before the day of your shift can be directed to the secretaries of the appropriate schools as the teachers/aids will need to fill in.
Thank you for your helping to keep out children well supervised and safe! |

Notre Dame of De Pere's 1st Adopt-A-Family Christmas Program 2012!
This Christmas Season, Notre Dame of De Pere school has the opportunity to share its blessings with local families in need. The Christian Outreach Program has identified two De Pere families that are in need of extra support to make this Christmas Season special.
The first family consists of 5 people ~ boy (3), girl (4), boy (8), boy (10) and mom. The mom recently lost her job and is working on re-employment. The second family consists of 3 people: girl (4), mom and dad. They both have provided a wish list of gift suggestions and household needs. We will also try to provide grocery gift cards to be used to purchase a Christmas meal, as well as gas gift cards, hygiene products and cleaning supplies. Gifts not on the list are welcome as well! Items do not need to be wrapped, but we will be asking for volunteers to help in putting everything together and wrapping the gifts prior to dropping them off. Please click on the Sign Up Genius link below to view the wish list items. Gifts can be sent to school at any point prior to Dec 14th as this will ensure everything is wrapped and delivered to the family on time. It is also an option to participate in this event by sending a monetary donation or any additional gift cards not listed, which would be extremly helpful and greatly appreciated. We would use any monetary donations to purchase wishlist items that are not covered as well as purchase additional cards for the family. Please send all monetary or gift card donations to school in an envelope labeled 'Adopt a Family.' Please do not feel any pressure to assist with this program as there are many things going on / causes to support during the holiday season. Notre Dame of De Pere is such a giving community and we wanted to provide an opportunity for those that are looking to take part in a program to help those in need this Christmas Season!
