Lunch & Playground Volunteer
| Hello ND Families, First and foremost, a HUGE thank you for helping to volunteer for cafeteria and playground duty. We have had great feedback from parents saying they really enjoyed seeing their child(ren) in their element and the teachers are very appreciative to have some down time to prepare for their classes.
This is just a friendly reminder that second trimester is fast approaching. If you have not already, you can go onto Lunch & Playground Sign-up Genius and select your day and slot for volunteering for next trimester. You can also sign up for third trimester if that makes better planning, or wait until that trimester gets closer if that is easier. Notre Dame is asking each family to volunteer for one slot per trimester or more if you wish.
Please keep in mind that your time spent volunteering for this program is worth double towards your required family volunteer hours.
***Cancellations 48 hours before the day of your shift can be directed to the secretaries of the appropriate schools as the teachers/aids will need to fill in.
Thank you for your helping to keep out children well supervised and safe! |

All Staff Treat Schedule
Thank you to our many cooks, bakers and candy makers that have already treated our teachers and staff to some wonderful healthy and sweet treats this year at the staff meetings. We have additional opportunities to participate and treat our hard working staff. If you have not yet signed up, please consider signing up for one or two treats during the school year that work in your schedule.
Go to:www.SignUpGenius.com/go/20F0E45ABAD28A20-allstaff to select your date or notify Kathy Nordeen (920) 246-4472 who will put you on the schedule for the date you choose.
Sign up to bring your goodies into school the morning of the meeting and help our teachers feel appreciated and nutritionally supplemented. Please consider providing 18 servings of either a health snack or sweet treat. Healthy snacks include fruit, raw veges and dip or other low fat snacks such as pretzels. Sweet snacks include cupcakes, cookies, brownies or other such yummy delights. (Note: There may be additional meetings added to the schedule in the future as the year progresses based on need.) Hi families!
Our 1st Adopt-A-Family Christmas Program is doing extremely well. Thanks for everyone's generosity. All donations/items should be turned into the office by December 14th.
We will be gathering at my house on December 17th @ 6:30 to wrap and package all items. We have wrapping paper, tape, and gift boxes, but could definitely use more. Please let me know if you are available to help wrap or if you have supplies that you are willing to donate. The more the merrier:)
Thanks,

Notre Dame of De Pere's 1st Adopt-A-Family Christmas Program 2012!
This Christmas Season, Notre Dame of De Pere school has the opportunity to share its blessings with local families in need. The Christian Outreach Program has identified two De Pere families that are in need of extra support to make this Christmas Season special.
The first family consists of 5 people ~ boy (3), girl (4), boy (8), boy (10) and mom. The mom recently lost her job and is working on re-employment. The second family consists of 3 people: girl (4), mom and dad. They both have provided a wish list of gift suggestions and household needs. We will also try to provide grocery gift cards to be used to purchase a Christmas meal, as well as gas gift cards, hygiene products and cleaning supplies. Gifts not on the list are welcome as well! Items do not need to be wrapped, but we will be asking for volunteers to help in putting everything together and wrapping the gifts prior to dropping them off. Please click on the Sign Up Genius link below to view the wish list items. Gifts can be sent to school at any point prior to Dec 14th as this will ensure everything is wrapped and delivered to the family on time. It is also an option to participate in this event by sending a monetary donation or any additional gift cards not listed, which would be extremly helpful and greatly appreciated. We would use any monetary donations to purchase wishlist items that are not covered as well as purchase additional cards for the family. Please send all monetary or gift card donations to school in an envelope labeled 'Adopt a Family.' Please do not feel any pressure to assist with this program as there are many things going on / causes to support during the holiday season. Notre Dame of De Pere is such a giving community and we wanted to provide an opportunity for those that are looking to take part in a program to help those in need this Christmas Season!

Area business leaders are teaching in your classrooms!!
Your students in 4th grade will be or have been participating in a Junior Achievement program called Our Region. Our Region introduces students to entrepreneurship and how entrepreneurs use resources to produce goods and services in a community. Students solve problems by weighing risks and rewards. JA is an effective avenue through which the business community can demonstrate its commitment to our students-our future entrepreneurs, employees, consumers and voters. JA's purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. We are proud to announce the following volunteers & businesses supporting JA at Notre Dame Elementary:
William Kress, Green Bay Packaging, Inc.
Heather Milbach, Schreiber Foods
Please consider volunteering in your child's school or another area school. It's a very rewarding experience! For additional information on how you can become a volunteer, please call the JA Office at 920-336-1444. Thank You! |
