4th grade Heritage Hill Soldiers Mr. Six's Fourth Grade Class as Revolutionary Soldiers at Heritage Hill this past week.

Dear Notre Dame Families:

It's hard to believe that it's the last day in October and the first weekend of November will begin this Friday!  That means that Key Club, our largest fundraiser, will be this Friday.  Key Club is a great event to socialize with Notre Dame and Our Lady of Lourdes Families.  Enjoy the great food and  bid on both oral and silent auction items.  There are many great deals!!  All proceeds are used for third source funding at Notre Dame and Our Lady of Lourdes.

Throughout the month of October (which is Rosary month) students in K-8 learned about the significance of the rosary and how to pray the rosary. Yesterday, all 296 students in K-8 performed the Living Rosary in the middle school gym.  This great culminating event was organized by Jen Budde.  Thank you Jen!!

The 2012-2013 J.U.M.P with Joy spirit shirts are here!  The t-shirts and the theme (J.U.M.P with Joy) came from the creative minds of the eighth grade class. J.U.M.P stands for Joyfully Under the Magnificent Prince.  Great job Eighth grade!!!!  This years t-shirt is sure to sell out fast! They are $10 and are located in the ES and MS office.

T-shirts are also part of the theme this Friday.  Teachers will be wearing their "Stamp Out Bullying" t-shirts to show solidarity with ND's no bullying policy and to support the Catholic values students learn everyday at school (of caring and including each other in their activities).

JUMP WITH JOY,

Jeff

St. John's Shelter Meals

Thank you to everyone that helped out with the St. John's Shelter Open House meal last Thursday night.  It was a huge success and people were commenting on how much they loved the chili and the kiddos help in serving the meal. Everyone's generosity of time and food were greatly appreciated!  We do still have a few slots left for point people for meals for this upcoming year.  If you would like to learn more, please click the link below.

religiouslibertyDefending Religious Liberty
Greetings to one and all,

Recently, I agreed to serve as American Catholics for Religious Freedom's State Director for Wisconsin and I need your help to spread the word about the real threats to our liberty, and a simple way we can all make sure our voice is heard. (I've attached a PDF of their tri-fold to provide you with additional information.)

With the elections 10 short days away, I'm sure you already recognize that this could very well be the most important presidential content of our lifetime.

Our founders brilliantly provided us with a simple outline for a successful republic: a recognition of certain unalienable rights given to us by God Himself and  laid out in the order required for them to provide a pathway to success:  Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

For 40 years, there has been a war waged against the preborn whose daily casualty count averages at 4,000.  Now they have opened up a new front against liberty...and not just any kind of liberty, but that which birthed this nation: religious freedom.  Why?  Because if they can "eliminate" the source of our unalienable rights in the public square, then they believe they can effectively become the sole arbiters of right versus wrong.

There is no question that the current administration has shown outright disdain for religious liberty, and with their unconstitutional HHS mandate, they have singled out Catholics as their main target of repression.

To combat this assault against all Americans, ACRF has launched its Unity Pledge asking citizens to vote to defend religious liberty on Nov. 6.  We want to show strength in numbers with all Americans--Christians, Jews, agnostics, atheists, etc--signing the pledge to make their voice heard.  That's why Gov. Mike Huckabee and Michael Reagan have signed the pledge.

With two weekends to go before the election, here's how you can help:

SIGN the pledge  online at the ACRF website or on FACEBOOK.

SOCIAL SHARING:  Please share this information on your social networks (Pintrest, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) using this link for ACRF's FB page http://on.fb.me/S0v0My) or this link for ACRF's main website: http://bit.ly/4AC4RF

SHARE this EMAIL:  Please consider forwarding this email to your family, friends and other applicable email contacts.  This will exponentially grow the awareness and participation in this project.

PRINT the attached multi-signature PLEDGE SHEET: Each sheet has space for 5 signatures.  If each person on this email would print two copies of the attached sheet and commit to collecting 10 signatures it would translate into 10's of thousands of signatures for the pledge.  Completed sheets can be scanned and emailed back to me, and I will ship them to ACRF HQ, or you can mail them via USPS to the address on the top of the sheet.  COMPLETED SHEETS should be emailed or mailed on/by Monday, Nov. 5, 2012.

Thank you in advance for your help in defending religious liberty and saving our republic.

GBWY,

Joe
