 Helpful Tip
When to use ice? As a rule of thumb: use an ice or a cold pack for at least the first 48 hours after an injury, to reduce pain or swelling. Use a barrier between the ice and skin (such as a towel or pillow case) and monitor your skin for any signs of frostbite (white skin). Ice no more than 20 minutes, but this can be performed several times per day.
