The Park City Library is marking this momentous occasion with a series of special events and programs that celebrate our rich history and legacy in our community. Join us!
Don't miss our Birthday Bash on Monday, June 24th from 5:00 - 6:00pm at the Park City Library Celebrate our 125th Birthday with scrumptious cake and entertainment provided by Mr. Silly Gilly, a singer, storyteller, and puppeteer preforming for children of all ages!

Programs for Children
Welcome to the 2013 Summer Reading at the Park City Library!
Now through August 17th babies to adults can participate in the Park City Library's Summer Reading Program. Read and earn cool prizes; summertime is a fun time for readers of all ages!
Stop by the Park City Library (located on 1255 Park Ave) to register for the Summer Reading Program. Then keep track of your reading (you can read anything) throughout the summer, turn in your reading log, and earn prizes!
"Dig into Reading" ages 0 - 10 or 5th Grade
"Beneath the Surface" ages 11 - 18 (6th - 12th Grade)

Pajama Storytime
It's Pajama Time! Join us Thursday evenings in June from 6:30 - 7:30 for a fun interactive storytime! Children ages birth through 7 years and their families or caregivers will enjoy engaging stories, songs, rhymes and activities that support early literacy development. Wear comfy pajamas, bring a favorite bedtime buddy and a grown-up partner and let's have fun!

Public Input Session
Tuesday, June 25th - 5:30 - 7 pm, room 205.
Library services are expanding to include the 2nd floor of the Library and Educatio n Center. Please join us for an update from Blalock & Partners Architectural Design Studio and for a chance to provide additional input on the project.Light refreshments will be served.

The Zookeeper's Wife by Diane Ackerman 940.53 ACK
reviewed by Dana The Zookeeper's Wife is a World War II story about two Polish zookeepers, Jan and Antonina Zabinski. Each person blessed with special gifts that keep the Warsaw Zoo thriving during times of peace, as well as wartime. As the war changes the lives of many, the zoo is also changed. As the majority of animals are lost to death and greed, Jan and Antonina use the zoo's losses to save the lives of the Jewish people being persecuted. People are hidden in the zoo's enclosures, and given names that correspond with the enclosures previous inhabitants. A touching read about the hardships and perseverance one family encountered during WWII.
