Created Equal:  the Abolitionists
Sunday, September 21 at 2pm

The Abolitionists vividly brings to life the struggles of the men and women who led the battle to end slavery.  Join your community for a discussion on how civil rights history matters to us today in the third of our four part series.

Dr. Stephanie Steplight Johnson of Essex County College will introduce the film and moderate the discussion.

Created Equal: America's Civil Rights Struggle is made possible through a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, as part of its Bridging Cultures initiative, in partnership with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.  This event is locally sponsored by the
West Orange African Heritage Organization.
