Creative Connection

Join in the monthly discussion of the creative process. Topics may include dealing with creative blocks, preparing for projects, and competing in the marketplace. The group can also offer constructive feedback on your work. Everyone interested in the creative process is welcome. This program is presented in partnership with the West Orange Arts Council. 

  

West Orange Writers' Group

Thursday, April 11 at 7pm 

A casual forum for anyone interested in writing. Meet other writers and gently critique each other's work. Writers in all genres are welcome. Bring a sample of your work.  

Community Mural Unveiling
Sunday, April 14 at 3pm
In honor of Distracted Driving Awareness Month and National Library Week, a mural sponsored by the Badlani Foundation will be unveiled in the Library. Local artists Cindy Klein and Kim Scheib worked with WO children to create the work of art.

The Oranges Then and Now

Make Way for Tomorrow

 Film historian Mark Gladstone presents Leo McCarey's award-winning 1937 film 'Make Way for Tomorrow,' featuring NJ-born actors Thomas Mitchell and Victor Moore.  Mr. Gladstone will screen the movie and then discuss the background and relevance of the film.

Funding for the Bernard Ducoff Lecture Series in the Arts and Humanities is provided in memory of Dr. Ducoff by the Ducoff family.  Advance registration is recommended; sign up online.

Storyteller and award-winning author Aubrey Davis comes by to help us celebrate National Library Week.  The author of Bagels from Benny, A Hen for Izzy Pippik, Bone Button Borscht and other picture books, Mr. Davis recently won the World Tales Storytelling Contest.
