Dear Listener,
 | Dr. Jim Paluzzi | While this year is quickly coming to a close, the progress that K-BACH has made is nowhere near finished!
I hope that you have participated in helping us select this year's K-BACH Top 100. The Top 100 is much more than a list of popular music: it really tells us about how important this music is to you. For my part, I continue to marvel at how well the music on this list speaks to me, at any time of the day.
While you are reviewing the Top 100 list, I'd like to invite you to take a few minutes more to browse through the other sections of the K-BACH website. There is so much more to K-BACH than just music: this year, we've made major investments in the K-BACH website to give you an opportunity to enjoy the rich content that will help you enjoy the music we play even more.
Sterling Beeaff's interviews with fascinating musicians are all there on the K-BACH website, ready for you to enjoy whenever you like. Jane Hilton's features on subjects such as Clarinets for Conservation continue to inform and inspire. I hope you will agree!
Randy Kinkel's This Week in Classical Music brings you current information about the events, the performers, and the news from our local classical community. It's the "go-to" site for learning about all things classical in the neighborhood.
Last, but not least, 2014 brought us a new voice to our overnight service: Joe Goetz. Every weekday, Joe plays music especially selected for our K-BACH overnight audience. Whether you're a night owl, an insomniac, or work the night shift, you're sure to enjoy Joe and the music he brings.
Thank you so much your support this year. Look for even more exciting news from K-BACH in the year to come!Dr. Jim Paluzzi K-BACH General Manager Vice President Division of Public Service

A First Time Concert Experience
By Jane Hilton, Announcer and Producer
Many of us at K-BACH remember our first concerts fondly, and we are always eager to hear the insights of a new concert goer. We recently caught up with K-BACH listener David Soval about his first time concert experience with The Phoenix Symphony. What did you think of Symphony Hall? "The reception area of the Hall was bigger than I expected. I've been to the Fox theatre in St. Louis and the Phoenix Symphony Hall seemed bigger and more artfully decorated." What was your initial impression of the music? The music was just what I was expecting. I thought it sounded crisp, not too loud but not too soft, and obviously right on key. Read more

Memories of a Christmas Concert
K-BACH Sustaining Member Laura Strebler
"I'm Laura and I support K-BACH. When I was six years old my mother took me to see the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. It was a Christmas program and I just thought it was magnificent...I loved watching the conductor, the big kettle drums, I loved the excitement and the bigness, the way it seemed to fill every crevice in the room. That first experience woke me up to the incredible emotion that classical music could evoke."
