Every Annual Fund gift, no matter the size, is important this year and every year.

Parent participation in the Annual Fund shows dedication and support for Mount Pisgah Christian School's mission and vision. The Annual Fund balances the school's operating budget, and your support makes this possible. Also, before contributing to our school, many corporations and foundations want to know that our Annual Fund is strong and widely supported by our own parents, faculty and staff, board members and alumni.

For these reasons, our school needs and appreciates gifts of every size; your participation literally makes other gifts possible!

Join with your fellow parents to help us reach our Annual Fund Parent Participation Goal of 100%. Please make your tax-deductible gift or pledge to the Annual Fund today by visiting www.experiencepisgah.org/waystogive or contacting the Advancement Office at (678) 336-3384.

If you have already made an Annual Fund gift or fulfilled your commitment - THANK YOU!

Godspeed to you and your family as Pisgah enters one of the busiest
times of the year! May provides wonderful opportunities for our community to come together and enjoy fellowship with one another. It is a month full of celebratory activities and special events, from graduation and divisional "moving up" ceremonies to Senior Week, the athletic banquet, lower school class parties, preschool Mother's Day programs and much more. We Stand Alone: Juniors On Currahee Mountain
During World War II, three regiments of airborne infantry (the 501st, 506th, 511th) as well as other units, trained at Camp Toccoa, Georgia (now gone). As part of their training, they ran the three miles up and three miles down of Currahee Mountain. The experience of running the mountain became such a powerful part of their training that the 506th adopted "Currahee" (which means "we stand alone") as their motto. A Letter From New Athletic Director Kent Harrison
Hello Patriots!

First, let me say how excited Rachel, Stafford and I are to join the Mount Pisgah Christian School community. Everyone with whom we have come in contact has been so kind and a great example of Christ's love. Thank you for your support and welcoming nature. Click here to read more.
Grandparents/Special Friends Day At Preschool Half Day
One of the many blessings that we have at Preschool Half Day is a group of supportive parents. On a daily basis, these parents visit Pisgah to drop off and pick up children, read to a class or volunteer. In the spring, we extend an invitation to our students' grandparents, extended family and friends to join us for our spring music program and Grandparents/Special Friends Days. Saying Good-Bye To Seniors/Advice For Upper School Students
It is always difficult to say good-bye each year to the graduating senior class, and this year is no exception. The Class of 2015 has been a joy to work with, full of determination and intellectual curiosity. They may be small in number (54 students) but they are mighty! Here are a few noteworthy "firsts" for the Class of 2015:
  • First time that scholarship awards have soared above $3 million!
  • First female to attend a service academy. Katherine Gooding will be attending the United States Naval Academy in the fall and will play tennis.
Almost There! Or Is It Just Beginning?
Teaching honors economics first semester to seniors afforded me an invite to the Senior Chapel, one of many commemorative "lasts" in the coming weeks for them. Chapel began with Matt Petersen and Katie Keller pretending to be an old couple, going back through the yearbook and discussing where each current senior was now in life, some 20 to 30 years down the road. One had gone bald and become the president of Hair Club for Men, another became a judge on The Voice, one was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars, one had run away to join the circus, one was a star on the reality show Real Housewives of Mississippi, another was the wealthiest woman in the world and one even became president of the United States. Technology In Lower School Classes
In recent weeks, I have had the opportunity to spend quite a bit of time in our classrooms. In doing so, I have been more impressed than ever at the intentional and innovative use of technology in our lower school classrooms. I am excited to share some examples of the many ways we use technology as a learning tool in the Lower School. Click here to read more.
New Arts Spaces and Arts Wrap-Up
In the short span of 12 days, we produced an art show, presented a drama production and had our final orchestra, chorus and band concerts. This is an impressive feat on its own, but even more so if you look at the number of students who participated in these events. In grades 4-12, more than 340 students presented artworks, performed on stage or played an active role is supporting one of these events. Click here to read more.
April Showers Brought May Flowers
April showers brought May flowers, and things are blooming at Preschool Full Day. As others wind down their school year, we are just getting started on the fun we have during the summer months. The month of May began with Mother's Day programs for our twos, threes and fours classes. At these events, mothers enjoy a special time of singing and join their children in the classroom for a special activity. Click here to read more and view photo galleries. Pisgah is proud to present John Trautwein as this year's keynote speaker. He is a graduate of Northwestern University and a former major league pitcher with the Boston Red Sox. His wife, Susie, was a four-year starter as defender in both field hockey and lacrosse at the University of Virginia. Residents of the Johns Creek area since 1997, John and Susie founded the Will To Live Foundation after tragically losing their oldest son, Will, to suicide in 2010.

Will to Live is dedicated to teen suicide prevention by educating teens about mental health and encouraging them to recognize the love and hope that exists in each other. The organization's positive message has improved the lives of children across the country. The Trautweins continually demonstrate how to turn tragedy into triumph, and their passionate leadership of Will To Live is cultivating a community of healthy minds and healthy lives.
