Thank you for being IN! The completion of Geier Hall is already transforming our school, and on behalf of the Advancement staff, I cannot thank our donors and volunteers enough for making the new upper school building a reality.

Our office recently sent out The Best of Building for the Future, an email that highlights the best of the campaign and what we have left to do. In case you missed it, you can access an updated version by clicking here.

We still have the opportunity to receive an additional $500,000 grant if we raise $84,008 toward debt reduction, and we are still $147,032 away from reaching this year's all-important Annual Fund goal. For ways to contribute to the historic Building for the Future campaign that includes debt reduction and to the Annual Fund, please click here.

Everything we do at Pisgah is only possible through your investment in our students and our school. Thank you for being a part of this special community.

Sincerely,
Melissa Santee

Head of School John Marshall: A New Day For Pisgah
Having spent the past few months watching Geier Hall come to fruition under the steady care and direction of Project Manager Sonya Tablada and Upper School Head Mary Ann Morris, I would like to share a few initial impressions of a building that has the potential to help transform our school into one of the premiere Christian schools in the nation. Assistant Head of School Sue Hansen: How Did Mission Get In The Water At Mount Pisgah Christian School?
How did mission get in the water at Mount Pisgah Christian School? If we could figure that out and bottle it, we would be highly traded on the New York Stock Exchange. I have been at Pisgah since Dec. 1, and my first charge was to get to know everyone on the Executive Leadership Team, my team and all the wonderful teachers and staff. What I quickly discovered is that there is complete buy-in of the school's mission from everyone here. Click here to read more.
Former Congressman J.C. Watts To Be Pisgah Commencement Speaker
J.C. Watts, Jr. is chairman of the J.C. Watts Companies, a multi-industry holding company headquartered in Washington, DC, with operations in Texas and Oklahoma. As chairman, J.C. provides strategic focus and program leadership to the firm's business engagements, alliances and initiatives. Click here to read more.
World Language at the Lower School
Last semester, we asked lower school parents for their thoughts on world language education, and we received a tremendous response. The parent survey and subsequent discussion forums generated valuable insight into what is meaningful to our community. The results are clear: exposure to a language other than English is a high priority at Mount Pisgah Christian School. Click here to read more.
Open House 2015: One Of The Largest In School History
WOW - what a day Saturday, Jan. 24 was for Pisgah. With 300+ individuals representing over 100 new families in attendance, Open House 2015 was one of the largest open houses in our school's history!
Swim Team Has Tremendous First Season
It is my pleasure to announce the closing of the inaugural season of Pisgah Swimming, culminating the weekend of Jan. 23 to 25 at the Metro Championship Meet at Westminster and the NAML Middle School Championship Meet. Our team of 24 athletes had a tremendous season, achieving impressive times against some of the most competitive public and private schools in the Atlanta area. Click here to read more and view a photo gallery of Pisgah's swim team in action.
The Road To Athens
We are all familiar with March Madness, where a bracket of the best teams in the land compete against one another until the number one team is left standing. Similarly, each fall musicians from across the state participate in the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) All-State Band and Orchestra Auditions. Click here to read more.
The Happy Science Lab: Hands-On Learning At Its Best
Each week Pisgah preschoolers, in both the half day and full day programs, are blessed with the opportunity to visit the Happy Science Lab. This is a place for them to explore nature in structured and unstructured ways. The moment our students walk through the door, they enter a world of excitement and fun. Click here to read more view a photo gallery of our preschoolers in the Happy Lab.
Preschool Full Day Focused On Love
This month, we are focused on love: our love for Jesus and for our family, friends and community. Every day during chapel and Bible focus, Pisgah preschoolers learn about loving and serving others. One way some of our students show their love for others is by spending one-on-one time with elderly friends at Sunrise Senior Living. Please click here to read more.
Pur[SHOE]ing Joy: A Middle School Service Learning Project
The world is getting bigger for our sixth grade students! From Jan. 22 to Feb. 2, they participated in a service-learning opportunity to support children in Guatemala that coincided with our current Latin America unit. To provide an opportunity for our students to become more aware of the global world around them, I partnered my geography classes with Pur[SHOE]ing Joy, a nonprofit organization based in Antigua, Guatemala, that seeks to fight poverty by giving shoes to those in need. Upper School Strategic Course Selection
As hard as it is to believe, the return to school in January every year brings the beginning of planning for the next school year. This year is no different, even though the location of where we are meeting, planning and collaborating has changed with our beautiful new space in Geier Hall. Click here to read more.
Pisgah Book Fair Feb. 23 to 26
