Our Ship Came In While it's officially Fall on Wednesday, some of us call it Heat & Humidity 2. However, with our new shipment arrival, we are still able to offer refreshing rosés and whites as cold and fresh aperitifs. As usual, we will allow the new reds to rest for a few days and that may not be a bad thing. With cooler weather just over the horizon (he said hopefully) we will be tasting these wines over the next few weeks. Here are some of the wines that were included in this shipment: Domaine Vordy 'Les Pegounels' Blanc '15 Rives-Blanques sparkling wines - Blanquette '14 & Rosé '14 Rives-Blanques Occitania Mauzac Blanc '15 Château de Pibarnon Rosé '15 and Rouge '11 Château Les Valentines Cuvée 8 Rosé '15 Domaine de Congy Pouilly Fumé Blanc '15 Banneret Châteauneuf du Pape Rouge '13 Domaine Rouge-Bleu 'Dentelle' Rouge 2013 Also included is a new wine from Domaine Julien Masquin. It is a red blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Very nice and very reasonably priced.
Our September 6-Pack To Go is now available. Our price on the 6-Pack is discounted by 15% from actual retail so that you have a chance to try something new without paying full price. Some outstanding wines for you to taste! The rosé sparkler is mostly Chardonnay with a touch of Pinot Noir - bright, fresh and good. With the Congy and Canorgue whites you have a great food wine and a flexible aperitif/food wine - one of the best whites from the Luberon valley. The reds feature a tasty Gamay from the Beaujolais region, an outstanding Cabernet Franc from the Loire and finishing with the French "Prisoner" (Bagnard), a blending of 1/3 each Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon - an outstanding red from Provence.
