Giving Back to our Communities
LA's Promise is a Los Angeles based non-profit organization committed to "transforming underprivileged schools into vibrant community hubs that graduate all students prepared for successful and healthy lives." Modern Optical recently donated the frames for vision screenings at two local high schools and one middle school.
In a letter from Veronica Melvin, President/CEO of L.A.'s Promise, "We learned from our partners at Vision to Learn that the prescriptions were very strong, meaning it had to be difficult for the students to read or see the board prior to receiving glasses. Thanks to Modern Optical International, 102 LA's Promise students are seeing and doing better in schools." We commend the good work that the folks at LA's Promise do everyday to help the students in their community. Modern Optical is proud to play a role in making a difference.
