Our 6th annual Great Kindness Challenge-Global Edition was wildly successful as youth in 75 countries blanketed their communities with kindness and care. New York Peace Pledge Tour SUCCESS!!!
Kids for Peace was invited to present our Peace Pledge at the United Nations in honor of the UN's International Day of Peace. Kids for Peace members joined together from across the country to share our inspiring words at the UN and beyond. We kicked-off the Peace Pledge Tour with an uplifting rally in Central Park with our celebrity ambassador GIANCARLO ESPOSITO. We also presented our Peace Pledge at UNICEF's headquarters, the Museum of NYC's Activists Exhibit, the Statue of Liberty, the 9-11 Memorial, the Feast of San Genarro in Little Italy, St. Patrick's Cathedral and the pregame show of the Rangers vs. Devils professional hockey game. Additionally, we launched our "Peace of My Heart Project" by sharing inspirational handwritten love notes throughout the streets of NYC. In true Kids for Peace style, we ended the Peace Pledge Tour by making and delivering Peace Packs and sack lunches to the homeless in Washington Square Park. And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we were on the TODAY SHOW with Giancarlo Esposito. The LOVE and JOY was abundant in New York City!!

Kids for Peace Returns to KENYA
Thanks to the generosity of Shoebacca, 200 pairs of new shoes were donated to the children of our Kids for Peace School of Kenya. KfP co-founder and Executive Director, Jill McManigal, delivered the shoes along with other gifts of handmade books and jump ropes. The joy was profound when the children received their shoes with a special "love note" attached to each pair. Jill also spent time meeting all the new students and updating profiles of the former students at the school we support. We are now working to ensure that all 115 students have sponsors so they can begin their new school year in January with a uniform, half their school fees and breakfast covered for one school year. Learn how you can support education and Sponsor a Child Here.
The students enjoyed our gifts of hand-made books and jumpropes.

2013 Peace Hero Ceremony Morgan Spurlock
Kids for Peace is proud to present our 2013 Peace Hero Award to Morgan Spurlock. We hosted an inspirational and intimate evening to honor Morgan. The children sang him songs, recited their Peace Pledge and presented the reasons he was chosen. Both laughter and tears were shared by all. The party was held at the exquisite home of Cindy and Steve Blumkin. Live music, artisan food and wine, a silent auction and a "Raise your Kind-Hearted Hand" program completed the night. It was indeed an uplifting and heartfelt evening. Congratulations Morgan Spurlock!
