"Beyond what you have given me, you have
given my two children an experience of love
and understanding in an atmosphere that
promotes cooperation, listening and
independence that I know will serve them a
lifetime." J.S.- ECPC Parent
Dear Friends of Early Childhood Parenting Center,
We invite you to support the Early Childhood Parenting Center this holiday season. Your contributions and your heart allow us to continue supporting and educating very vulnerable and high risk families and children in the greater Los Angeles community.
Our work in homeless and domestic violence shelters brings education, support, guidance and comfort to women who face severe challenges on a daily basis and whose children do not have the opportunity to experience consistent and positive home lives. We help these women to provide better parenting to their children.
The mission of The Early Childhood Parenting Center is to help parents become more knowledgeable and secure in their parenting choices so that they can establish a foundation on which to build a lifetime of social and emotional health for their children. Our philosophy is based on the importance parent-child attachment in the early years, and how it shapes the emotional development of children. We foster healthy development for children and strengthen parent confidence and skills.
After caring for her dying mother for two years, Tanya and her son, who suffers from
Aspergers Syndrome, became homeless. Tanya received parenting support and therapy
from ECPC while living in the homeless shelter. After a period of one year, Tanya and
her son have moved into their own place. Tanya has a job and is enrolled in school.
She continues to see her ECPC therapist for counseling.
Your generous support enables ECPC to sustain and expand our programs serving at-risk families. We bring our 40 years of expertise and wisdom to support homeless, abused and mentally disturbed women through parenting classes and education, one-on-one counseling and strong support. Our clients begin to have healthy relationships with their children and break the cycle of poverty, addiction and violence.
To those who have donated in the past, we deeply appreciate your continued support. You make a big difference to many families who need your help. Please help us continue our critical work in the community and contribute as generously as you are able.
On behalf of the Board, the staff and the many volunteers who make our program possible we thank you in advance for your contribution and your impact on disadvantaged parents and children. Please click visit www.ecpcla.org and click on the "Donate" button, to make your contribution.
Thank You
