What is Temperament?
Temperament is best described as a person's unique behavioral and emotional style. It is thought to be an innate quality, one with which we are born. The basic ingredients for temperament include:
- Activity Level:
- Low Energy: enjoys quiet play, snuggles contentedly on your lap, cooperates with dressing, as a toddler enjoys small puzzles, uses hands more than feet.
- High Energy: fights, fidgets, constantly on the go, usually walks early, hates being bound in a car seat, high chair, or stroller, loves large spaces to play.
