Still feeling a little wore down from the 2013 Pontiac Nationals! I am close to having everything unpacked and put away but there are still a few small items I need to address.
We had a great sponsorship weekend. We came out with our new Tin Indian Performance Team shirts which were a big hit (see below). This year we had 3 cars in the pit area which represented the scope of our engine building very well. We had Wally Becker's 1970 Judge which sports a pump gas 511 cid engine, Mike Williams 1966 GTO that was running a fresh 457 cid race engine making over 700 horse and then we had the Tin Indian Performance Digger running its Warp 6 headed 535 MR-1A combo.
We were very pleased to be the #1 qualifier in the KRE Quick 16 once again. We qualified with a 6.906 @ 193 mph! The next closest car was a 7.50.... not too shabby.
I will start working on the Norwalk recaps very soon. We are still working our way through a backlog of work since we were closed the week of the Tri Power Nationals. The CNC machines have been down for a while for some much needed maintenance as well.... I am happy to report, they are both back up and making parts again.
These our are new Tin Indian Performance Team Shirts. I thought it was time for a change and wanted to come out with a new shirt for the 2013 Tri Power Nationals. My crew and I wore these shits on Saturday during the event. The response to the shirts was AWESOME! We had quite a few people wanting to buy them but unfortunately, these shirts are cost prohibitive to sell and are just available for crew members. We did make a T-shirt design that is very similar to this design which is currently available on the website and is pictured below.
These are the T-shirt versions of the team shirt that are available for sale @
I wanted to personally thank everyone who purchased Archbishop Hoban "Thrive and Drive" raffle tickets this year. We really appreciate you helping us support this great fundraiser.
I hope to have time to pick the Billet-TEK valve cover giveaway winner in the next week or so. Everyone keep close tabs on the Tin Indian Performance Twitter and Facebook pages. I will also include this infomation in the next newsletter.
