I know it is not here yet but just wanted to wish everyone a happy 4th of July! The arrival of the holiday is a reminder that Norwalk is just a few weeks away..... ARE YOU READY?
Unfortunately, I can't say that I am quite ready yet for the event. The converter has not returned and I am trying to put the finishing touches on a new motor for a team member. Looks like there will be some last minute wrenching here at Tin Indian Performance!
This month we have come out with our new 61-64 intake gaskets and stainless steel block off plates for those gaskets. Check them out below. Also wanted to remind everyone about the pre Norwalk raffle going on.
I think I hear the UPS man coming, hopefully he has my converter! Gotta GO!

This past fall Mark gave us a motor that he got a "great deal" on the internet. It was supposed to have this, that and the other in it and have very few miles on it. Mark thought it was a good idea to have us go through the motor and I am glad he did. We found some abnormal wear in the valve train as well as a rod bearing going away......
Mark's engine was based around a stock Pontiac block, Forged Ohio Crankshaft, Eagle rods and SRP pistons. We used a complete TIP gasket set and Viton rear main seal in the build. We installed one of our custom ground solid roller camshafts to make the power in the pump gas combo. The engine is topped off with a set of KRE Aluminum D ports that flow 350+ cfm, KRE Northwind intake, and a custom configured Pro Systems carb.

We also set this engine up with our custom engraved TIP PRW logo covers with a Firebird logo. On the dyno we used one of our TIP evac kits. This combo made 650.9 horsepower at 6400 rpm and 615.8 ft lbs of torque at 4800 rpm ALL ON PUMP GAS! I can't wait to see it perform in Mark's 1970 Bird.
