Two-year Residency Ends This Sunday

This Sunday we will say good-bye to Layton Williams, who will complete her two years as Pastoral Resident with Fourth Church that day. Layton will preach at 4:00 p.m. worship, and receptions in her honor will be held following morning worship services during Coffee Hour.
Please join us that day as we take time to thank Layton for her time among us and wish her Godspeed in the next chapter of her ministry!

threeJazz and a Communion Service

Every Sunday at Fourth Church

Each Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. Fourth Church offers a jazz service with music by the Lucy Smith Quartet--an opportunity for worship that includes the celebration of Communion.
Want to learn more about this unique service? A "Jazz at Four" email
with information about each Sunday's 4:00 jazz service is sent weekly. To subscribe to receive this email, send email addresses to [email protected] with "Jazz" in the subject line.
And for a special treat, come hear Jazz at Four musician Lucy Smith perform a free "Music by the Fountain" Noonday concert outdoors in our Michigan Avenue courtyard on Friday, August 12!

fourCan You Help with the School Supply Drive?
Donations and Volunteers Needed

We still need help collecting and preparing to distribute school supplies and filled backpacks for children and youth connected with the Chicago Lights Urban Farm and Tutoring Program!
Donations for the annual School Supply Drive, organized by Women at Fourth, are being collected at morning Coffee Hour on Sundays and at the reception desk during the week. Solar calculators, supply boxes, pocket-size dictionaries, and notebooks are especially needed. You can also sign up to help receive, sort, and distribute school supplies and backpacks.
A list of needed backpack supplies is available here; a list of needed Chicago Lights Tutoring supplies is available here; and a list of school supply drive volunteer opportunities is available here.
For more information about how you can help, stop by Coffee Hour this Sunday or contact Anne Ellis (312.573.3369).
