Music Travelers at St. Giles'
oneMusic Travelers at St. Giles'
Morning Worship and an Evening Concert
This Sunday, July 3, participants in the music tour to England and Scotland will spend the day in Edinburgh, Scotland, and will worship at St. Giles' Cathedral, where Calum MacLeod is Minister. Hardy Kim will preach there that morning.

The choir will return to St. Giles' at 6:00 p.m. that day to sing a concert as part of the cathedral's Sunday at Six concert series.

Please continue to keep these travelers in your prayers as they share beautiful music in these historic settings.

This Sunday during 9:30 and 11:00 Worship
While several of our musicians are in Scotland this week singing at St. Giles' Cathedral, we are delighted to welcome to this Sunday's 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. services the National Youth Choir of Scotland.

The 110-voice choir under the direction of Christopher Bell is in town to perform a concert with the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras on July 4 as part of the Grant Park Music Festival. We are grateful that the choir will be sharing their musical talents with us as well.

We hope to see you this Sunday!

The canvas labyrinth is available for walking in Anderson Hall between 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. on the evening of Taizé services, which take place on the fourth Friday of each month.

Before coming to walk the labyrinth in Buchanan Chapel, please check the "Worship and Prayer" website calendar or call the church office at 312.787.4570 to confirm that the chapel is not being otherwise used at the time you plan to walk.

fiveA Hunger Walk Thank-You!
Thank you to everyone who pledged their support and walked the Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD) Hunger Walk this past Saturday morning!

The twenty-five walkers on the combined Fourth Church Meals Ministry and Chicago Lights Elam Davies Social Service Center team each earned $12 in GCFD food credits. This will translate into nearly four times that value in food for Sunday and Monday Night Suppers and Bag Lunches and the Consumer Choice Food Pantry, as we are able to get food at a significant discount through GCFD. Those of you who gave donations also helped the team to meet their goal of raising $5,000 in additional funds.

Thank you, one and all!
