A Candlelit Evening of Prayer, Singing, and Reflection
Join us tonight for our monthly service in the style of Taizé at 7:30 p.m. in Buchanan Chapel.

The Taizé service provides an opportunity to gather in a contemplative, prayerful setting at the end of a busy week. Candles; easy-to-learn songs from various countries, traditions, and languages; and a period of silence all contribute to a time to reflect and to open oneself to God. We gather for this service on "fourth Fridays at Fourth Church."

As it is each month, the service will be preceded by opportunity to walk the labyrinth in Anderson Hall between 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. This meditative walk takes approximately twenty minutes, and members of the labyrinth ministry team are present to offer guidance for first-time labyrinth walkers.

Time:
     Friday, June 24
     Between 6:00 and 7:30 p.m., Labyrinth Walk
     7:30 p.m., Taizé Service

fiveMusic Travelers Depart on Monday
A Concert Tour to England and Scotland
Participants in the music trip to England and Scotland leave this Monday for their concert tour. From June 27 to July 6, they will tour such cities as York, Durham, and Edinburgh, where the Fourth Church choir will sing informal recitals. The tour includes a choir concert at St. Giles' Cathedral, where Calum MacLeod is Minister.

Please keep these travelers in your prayers as they share beautiful music in these historic settings.

sixThank You, Thank You!
We have a double thank-you to say this week in gratitude for the generous support of two expressions of Fourth Church mission and ministry this past weekend.

On Saturday evening Encore took the stage in Buchanan Chapel, with a marvelous musical program followed by a reception in the Commons. More than 150 guests attended this second annual fundraiser for the Center for Life and Learning (CLL), which resulted in more than $15,500 in support of the CLL and its programming for those sixty and over. To the generous sponsors of the event and those who came out and celebrated this program, which celebrated its fiftieth year this year, thank you!

And thank you too to all who enjoyed tasty treats at the youth's bake sale on Sunday morning, helping the Fourth Church youth raise more than $1,700 for their summer mission trip to Asheville, North Carolina.

Thank you, thank you!
