Enjoy the Gala!
A Festive Evening in Support of Community Outreach
Tonight is the Gala of Hope--the annual benefit supporting Chicago Lights and the Replogle Center for Counseling and Well-Being! Beginning at 5:30 p.m., guests will arrive at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel for an evening of dinner and dessert, dancing to the Ken Arlen Orchestra, and live and silent auctions featuring unique experiences, getaways, entertainment, and more.
 
For those attending this evening or who have supported the benefit, thank you and enjoy tonight's festivities!
   
"Deep Calls to Deep" at the Well
Registration for the "Deep Calls to Deep" Lenten contemplative retreat--which offers opportunity to refresh and renew your spiritual connection with God using spiritual practices of the church--is due this weekend. The retreat will also offer opportunity to join in worship, guided meditation, journaling, praying with images and psalms, and enjoying nature and solitude.
 
Led by Vicky Curtiss, the retreat will begin next Friday, March 11 at the Well in La Grange Park and will end on Saturday afternoon.

Those interested in participating are asked to register by this Sunday, March 6 by completing a registration form found in the brochures in the literature racks or by contacting Nancy Davis.

three"World Day of Prayer" Labyrinth Walk
This Saturday Morning
Join us tomorrow morning for our "World Day of Prayer" labyrinth walk. One-word prayer requests of Hope, Joy, Reconciliation, Grace, and Love, among others, will be provided for those who care to take a prayer or meditation into the walk this day.

Participants may leave their prayer request in the center on the walk, select another, or leave their prayer behind for others to contemplate. Submitted prayer requests will also be shared with the Board of Deacons for additional prayers of intercession.

A Fourth Dimension Event
Did you know that Illinois is not only famous for being the home state of President Abraham Lincoln, but that it also played a crucial role in the "war between the states"?
 
Historian Robert Girardi will provide an overview of the contribution and importance of the State of Illinois in the Civil War during "Illinois Fights the Civil War," a gathering of Fourth Dimension--Fourth Church's fellowship group for individuals fifty and over.
 
Whether you're a history buff or not, we hope to see you there! Registration (required) is due this Wednesday, March 9 by contacting Anne Ellis.

Join the 2016 Chicago Lights Marathon Team
Calling all runners! 

Chicago Lights has a limited number of guaranteed entries for the 2016 Bank of America Chicago Marathon to award by April 12.

Interested in running and making a difference for Chicago Lights? Reach out to Kate Solis Silva at 312.981.3564 for more details.

Guaranteed entries will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Runners that commit to the team and also recruit a friend receive a $100 gift card to the team's running store partner, Universal Sole.

Tutors are needed one evening a week--Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday--from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. New volunteers are asked to attend an orientation session. A schedule is available here.

Sunday School teachers
during the 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. worship services
