Christmas Cantata This Sunday
Rutter's Gloria
This Sunday the Morning Choir will perform John Rutter's Gloria during both the 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. worship services.

Gloria was written by English composer John Rutter in 1974 for brass, percussion, organ, and chorus. It begins with the familiar words of Luke 2:14, which the angels sang at the birth of Jesus.

We hope you'll join us for this seasonal cantata tradition at Fourth Church!

Time:
     Sunday, December 20
     During 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. worship

Place:
     Sanctuary

Honor or Remember Loved Ones
Christmas is just one week away, but there's still time to honor or remember loved ones with "Light Up a Life" gifts--which also help neighbors whose needs are great this holiday season.

Gifts provide important year-end support for the outreach programs of Fourth Church and Chicago Lights and are easy to make online

Help "light up a life" this Christmas with gifts that make a difference in the lives of those we serve!

three"Longest Night" Service
Worship This Week for Those Experiencing Grief
Feelings of grief, loss, loneliness, sadness, and anxiety can become more pronounced during the holidays. The "Longest Night" service--also known as the "Blue Christmas" service-- provides a Christmas worship opportunity for those who may find it difficult to share in the traditional joy-filled celebrations on December 24 and 25.

This year the "Longest Night" service will be held on Tuesday, December 22 at 6:30 p.m. in Buchanan Chapel.

Those dealing with the emotional challenges of the season are also invited to contact the Replogle Center for Counseling and Well-Being at Fourth Church at 312.787.8425.

Time:
     Tuesday, December 22, 6:30 p.m.

Place:
     Buchanan Chapel

elevenThank You for Shopping the Bazaar!
Thank you to all who shopped at the Fair Trade Bazaar on December 5 and 6 and supported artisans from more than thirty countries by raising more than $45,000! Hundreds of visitors made their way through Anderson Hall and Borwell Dining Room, perusing handcrafted merchandise from such vendors as Ten Thousand Villages, Africa Circle of Hope, Alternative Gifts International, and more.

Shopping at the bazaar helps make it possible for these artisans to earn a fair wage for their labors and provide food, shelter, education and health care for their families. Thank you!
