Once at News Feed Preferences, select Pages, and then in the Follow option, select "See First" for Fourth Church and any others pages whose posts you don't want to miss!

A Candlelit Evening of Prayer, Singing, and Reflection

Join us tonight for our monthly service in the style of Taiz at 7:30 p.m. in Buchanan Chapel.

The Taiz service provides an opportunity to gather in a contemplative, prayerful setting at the end of a busy week. Candles; easy-to-learn songs from various countries, traditions, and languages; and a period of silence all contribute to a time to reflect and to open oneself to God. We gather for this service on "fourth Fridays at Fourth Church."

As it is each month, the service will be preceded by opportunity to walk the labyrinth in Anderson Hall between 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. This meditative walk takes approximately twenty minutes, and members of the labyrinth ministry team are present to offer guidance for first-time labyrinth walkers.

Time:

     Friday, July 24

     Between 6:00 and 7:30 p.m., Labyrinth Walk

     7:30 p.m., Taiz Service

Place:

     Anderson Hall, Buchanan Chapel

threeWho Are Your Officer Recommendations?
Nominating Forms Now Available

Do you know someone with gifts for leadership and ministry? Consider recommending them for an officer position with Fourth Church or Chicago Lights!

Nominating forms for the offices of Elder, Deacon, Trustee, and Chicago Lights Board online. Paper forms are also available at the church in the pew racks and literature racks.

The Officer Nominating Committee would greatly appreciate your assistance in helping them gather names this summer so they can begin their review of recommendations this fall. So why not take a moment in the coming week to send your suggestions their way!
