oneYou're Invited to an Iftar Dinner
An Evening of Interfaith Dialogue and Fellowship

Our Interfaith Relations Committee is delighted to be partnering with the Niagara Foundation to cohost next week a special Iftar dinner during Ramadan.

This event brings individuals from different religious and cultural communities together to learn about food security and the significance of the month of Ramadan in Islam, to engage in friendly table conversation, and to break fast with an Iftar dinner. Persons of all faiths are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The "A Ramadan Experience" presentation will feature keynote speaker Mari Gallagher, principal of Mari Gallagher Research and Consulting Group, and a lecture by Omer Mozaffar, adjunct professor of theology and Muslim chaplain at Loyola University Chicago.

We hope you will join us in this special event that is part of the "Sharing the Faith" program. In providing a window into the diverse worlds of the three Abrahamic traditions during religiously significant seasons, "Sharing the Faith" seeks to raise literacy of each of those faiths, create safe spaces and experiences for reflection, and respectfully showcase each tradition in its uniqueness.

Come share this interfaith meal with us! Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP today

Time:

     Wednesday, July 8

         6:30 p.m. Presentation

         8:15 p.m. Dinner

Place:

     Buchanan Chapel for the presentation

     Anderson Hall for the dinner

This service is offered free of charge approximately five times a year (based on interest, as a minimum of six people is needed to start a group).
