Holiday Gift-Giving Opportunity

As you begin to make your Christmas shopping list, let Fourth Church and Chicago Lights help you spread double the joy with your giving: Consider honoring or remembering those on your list with "Light Up a Life" gifts--which also help neighbors whose needs are great this holiday season.

Gifts provide important year-end support for the outreach programs of Fourth Church and Chicago Lights and are easy to make online.

Help "light up a life" this Christmas with gifts that make a difference in the lives of those we serve!

fiveThanksgiving Day at Fourth Church
Give Thanks through Worship and Dinner

Opportunities to give thanks through worship continue next week with a service at 11:00 a.m. followed by a traditional dinner on Thanksgiving Day!

This annual Thanksgiving worship service will be held in the Sanctuary, with Joyce Shin preaching.

Following the service, a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, which offers opportunity to renew old acquaintances and make new friends in the spirit of giving thanks, will be served at 12:15 p.m. in Anderson Hall. Tickets are required for this traditional dinner and are available online or by contacting Anne Ellis.

Parking for the Thanksgiving Day worship service and dinner is available at a discounted rate at the 900 parking garage. Please note, however, that the discount rate will not be the Sunday morning rate but will be the $16 holiday rate set by the garage. The $16 vouchers can be purchased with cash or check at the church reception desk on Thanksgiving morning. There will then be no additional fee when validating your ticket at the garage upon exit.

Gift a Gift to Our Under-Resourced Children

Make Christmas a little brighter for some of Chicago's children from under-resourced neighborhoods: fulfill a Christmas wish! Beginning this Sunday, Chicago Lights Tutoring program students' wish lists will again be available during Coffee Hour following morning worship.

Through the "Christmas Wishes" gift-giving project organized by Presbyterian Women, gifts are being collected through Sunday, December 14 at the church reception desk or during Coffee Hour. A gift-wrapping party will take place that Sunday afternoon.

Volunteers are needed to help collect and sort gifts, do data entry, and prepare for gift distribution. For more information about how you can help, contact Anne Ellis.
