Get to know new Fourth Church Pastor Shannon Kershner during a special time of informal conversation!

 

There will be opportunity to chat with Shannon on Sundays, September 7 and 14, October 5 and 19, and November 2 and 9 at 12:30 p.m. at the church.

Coffee Hour Sponsorship Opportunities

As summer comes to a close, Coffee Hour each Sunday will highlight the many exciting opportunities this fall for children, youth, and adults at Fourth Church. It will also continue to offer a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow members and friends and to welcome visitors.

 

You can help make these weekly fellowship gatherings possible by sponsoring Coffee Hour in honor or memory of a loved one or in recognition of a special occasion.

threeAn Invitation to an Open House
Enrichment at the Center for Life and Learning

Adults sixty and more are invited to learn about the enrichment opportunities offered through the Center for Life and Learning. Come explore the program's annual Fall Open House this coming Thursday, September 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on the fifth floor of the Gratz Center. This vibrant community offers monthly luncheons, weekly excursions, and a variety of classes--from the humanities to wellness and exercise.

 

Open house guests will enjoy complimentary refreshments, time to reconnect with friends and meet new people, and occasion to discover the exciting things the CLL has planned for this autumn!

 

Time:

     Thursday, September 4, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

Place:

     Fifth floor of the Gratz Center

fiveA Potluck for Couples over Fifty
Cornerstones Kicks Off Fall Programming

All couples fifty and over are invited to a Cornerstones potluck and social next Friday, September 5 at 6:00 p.m. in Borwell Dining Room. This Fourth Church fellowship group typically meets on the first Friday of the month for enriching programs and times of fellowship. Come learn about what Cornerstones has planned for the year!

 

Advanced registration is required. To register, contact Carol Allerton (312.640.5448) by Wednesday, September 3.

Fourth for Bridge to Meet Next Saturday

Calling all bridge players! Fourth for Bridge, the Fourth Church fellowship group that encourages spiritual connection and intergenerational fellowship through playing friendly games of bridge, is meeting next Saturday, September 6 at 7:30 p.m. at a member's home. The group typically meets on the first Saturday of the month.

There are several ways to get involved in the mission and ministry of Fourth Church. See below for details!

 

Current Volunteer Needs

Audio recording equipment operators for Sunday morning worship services

This volunteer opportunity is available immediately. Training will be provided.

 

New volunteers for the Chicago Lights Tutoring program are asked to attend an orientation sessions. Details are available here

 

Volunteers to wash and dry clothes, on rotation, for a Fourth Church family with a chronically ill child, located in zip code 60618
